First let me say that this is a documentary so there is no plot nor acting to rate. That being said it is an intresting well done documentary. Where it really shines though is in the 3D quality. There is one sceen where a potato cod seems to swim out of the screen & into the room with you (much like a holigram). This is the BD I use to show off my 3D system.

This is a great blu ray to show off a 3D television. My only gripe is that it should have more of the 3D that pops out of the televsion, instead of the 3D that goes into the televission. There is one scene where a fish appears to float a foot away from your face.

My new Samsung 55" and Marantz surround really are fun with this 3D sound and super-depth effects. The sword on the sword fish seems to jump halfway across the living room and the depth of the underwater background seems to fade off into the room behind the TV! You can go back to Avatar and Thor CG when you're done, but the real-life IMAX really pushes your system to the limit.

This is THE 3D DVD to show off your 3D equipment! The 3D is awesome, and it holds up for repeat viewings. Could have been a bit longer, but IMAX movies are always shorter. Overall, a great DVD, and a must-have for 3D TV owners.

This is my first Blu-Ray 3D DVD, so it is difficult to judge the overall cinematography effects in relation to other similar videos. However, my concern is that this video offers an ongoing social commentary on the effects of global warming. If that was the intent of the video, I would have appreciated some information on the package to better identify the content of the material.

IMAX under the sea, The scene with the Potato Cod fish is amazing, comes out of the screen so far that it is literally inches from your face, a must pause moment on the remote. Google imax potato cod fish and read more comments about the scene

This is a simple documentary, 90% photography. Perfect for a great 3D experience. Far better depth and color than animated 3D movies.

Nice 3D documentary; only complaint, not long enough...

If not 3d would not be fun... otherwise just boring.

I was expecting more to this DVD then the normal LIFE DVD I've purchased couple months ago. Imax Under The Sea blueray was too short ( less then 2 hours of viewing) and I think to pay for thirty something bucks is a little pricy.

This was really awesome to watch...but best in 3D. The fish swimming around and the depth of field were truly impressive.

The 3d effects of the movie was spectacular. Some of the best 3d effects I have seen. Wish the movie was a little longer and had more fish in it.

I bought it from best buy promotion. This movie is really good. I am very enjoy watching it.

The cinematography is incredible. We actually have watched this video six times!!!

I do not know what in the world made them to call it an "IMAX" movie. This is completely a 2D movie. Of course, there are beautiful scenes under the water. But, if you are looking for any movie like "Avater" (The Theatre version) or "Monsters Vs Aliens", this is not the one. Although I have opened the box, I will still try to return and get my money back.

Only wish this UNDER THE SEA was longer. Amazing coral reef !!!!!
