The movie that started it all, Underworld. The 4k transfer on this looks amazing and my guess is that the whole series will eventually be released in 4k. This movie is about the very old battle between the vampires and werewolves that has now spilled out into modern times. Great series, I recommend this to everyone.

saw it at the drive in, in the rain. worth it. bought it on dvd worth it, wanted it on blu ray and digital...guess what I'm going to say next..

I loved this movie ever since I first got to see it. Has a very beautiful and strong leading woman who has made this franchise what it is today and Patrick Totoploulos who created the look for the Lycans. Love the artwork on the cover just perfect for any true Underworld fan.

For an older movie, the 4K transfer is pretty good and the HDR helps this mostly happening in the dark movie. Lots of good details but lots of film grain. The sound was good in its effects and surrounds but had an overall old feel to it, so I didn’t care for that as much. Kate at her best...

In this notoriously dark film that kicked off the series, HDR brightens things significantly through improved contrast and details are amazing. Still one of my favs. Kate Beckinsale was born for this role.

Although the director borrows some elements from Blade and the Breed, thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. Battle sequences are exceedingly well done, there's just enough tension between the main characters to keep us interested. A must see, you'll enjoy this movie.

well what can i say about underworld it is amazing from start to finish and it has the best sound for home theater bc it rocks from start to finish and it has good acting through out the whole film so if you want to see an amazing vampire / wear wolf than this the one to watch so check it out

This is my second best Underworld movie in my collection. Being that it is the first one, it was my favorite one until Underworld: Blood Wars was produced. Buy it for your collection. You'll be glad that you did.

A movie with Kate Beckinsale about vampires, it doesn't get any better. There is plenty action, biting and fighting throughout the movie. All this horror in 4K Ultra and Dolby Atmos makes this a must have for any collection. Two thumbs up!

Really cool art. I'm happy that the artist continued to do the series for the Steelbooks for at least 3 movies.

I love this version since this one is the unrated version. It's longer, with more scenes not shown in the original. I consider this a classic. The franchise has produced 3 more sequels and 1 prequel after this movie movie first came out.

A very nice vampire tries to help a friend without the knowledge of her racist friends. But when the man of the house finds out all hell breaks loose. Against all hope she helps her friend to the end.

I've been a long time fan of the Underworld series, so there was no question that when they announced the UHD release, I was in! The blu-ray release was excellent, with crisp contrast, deep blacks and an immersive soundtrack. The UHD release improves in all of those areas with a gorgeous picture, HDR10 and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

What a great movie about Vampires Vs Werewolves , this one has action , humor, deceit , love , etc...... Wrapped up into one big chimichanga , I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Unfortunately the 4k edition of this disc is notable for sound only. The visual upgrade from standard bluray is almost non existent. This is a grainy film as per the film makers and although the 4k edition is a bit more enticing I cant really justify the purchase through the clarity aspect alone. It takes the really scrutinizing eye to behold any difference in either film whatsoever. However your ears will SPOCK up and you will instantly notice the deeper bass and crisper edge to the 4k version. Does that justify its purchase. For the near 2 hour experience that will afterwards have you putting this disc back on the shelf for all eternity I have to say a qualified NO. Just not worth it.

First and foremost, I am a huge fan of the first Underworld movie. I owned it on DVD, and then again on Blu-Ray. Re-watching this again in 4K HDR is a stunning experience which adds additional depth to an already phenomenal movie.

Vampires and werewolves and a film with a lot of gory action. How can you go wrong? For those who like stylized Gothic visuals this movie is a treat. And Kate Beckinsale definitely adds some pleasing eye candy. This Blu Ray release comes in a collectable limited edition steel book with wrap-around artwork.

The original out of the franchise is awesome telling the story between vampire and Lucans. Characters are cool and fun to watch grow story-wise. Def recommend!

If you're planning to buy this, you probably already know what you're getting into...a two hour escape. Great action sequences and brainless entertainment. The 4K UHD is a pretty good upgrade in picture quality but not a reference disc.

I loved the Underworld movies, and the first was by far the best in my opinion. While they used modern weapons, you still at least got the feeling that they had the brute strength to battle as they did in the past
