this walkie talkie is pretty good quality. I've dropped myne like 3 times and they are not damaged at all. the Range is good although gets rough when u go close to max range.

I purchased these units and out-of-the-box one of the radios kept producing a lot of static randomly. I contacted Uniden Support described the problem and they advised me to return the unit to the place of purchase. After doing some more research, I learned that there is common issue with this model where the RX control (the feature that silences the radio when no one is broadcasting) is faulty ...which explains why Uniden support spent no time working with me to resolve the issue. If you get lucky and get 2 working models, then the base charging, range, features, and overall design is great for the price.

These Uniden Two way radios are perfect for staying in Contact with your friends, family, etc... Great for Paintball, Airsoft play, and for real Emergency situations when Hiking, Hunting, Bike Riding, or any other kind of activity that demands the use of a Two-way Radio system. Perhaps you are in an area that no Cell Phone signals are available. With a Two-Way Radio, you have a backup plan for Communications needs.

Good range and clear sound. Use them to communicate from one building to another.

I got these to keep track of my fam during vacation. Tried them out with my niece while I was supposed to be working. She was on the ground floor and I was on the 12th and they worked well.

I bought these for a 15 year old and his buddies. They love being out in the woods. So I thought these would make a great Christmas gift for them. They work real well for what they use them for.

It is really convenient with the clip. It also charges pretty fast. One other thing I like is the feel on the hand ... It just feels natural

Nice compact design. Controls function fine and are convenient. If you are looking for a "walkie talkie" for distances of up to a mile, line of sight, these should be fine. For "longer" line of sight, I should have purchased units with higher transmit (RF) power, say, five (5) watts. I would like to use these for distances of around three miles line of sights and haven't been able to achieve that with these "lower power" units. For little more cost, the manaufacture does offer a higher power five watt, RF transmit output. If you are needing maximim line of sight range, would recomment purchasing units with advertised five watts output on GMRS licensed channels. As is, would recommend for good reliable communications for maybe up to half mile, line of sight. Claims of twenty or thirty more miles will probably never be reached by average user, as "they" use them.
