It was great reminiscing of the old days staying up late and watching horror movies

I bought this set as an upgrade to my standard resolution Universal Monsters Legacy Collection DVDs. While it is nice to own these old films on standard DVD, many of the films suffer from grainy pictures and poor sound. Understandable for such old films, but I’ve wondered why the transfer to disc was generally so poor. This Blu-ray set is a vast improvement, with much crisper picture and vastly improved audio. As others have mentioned, perhaps the only shortcomings with the set are the omission of many of the sequels which were included with the Legacy Collection discs, and the decision to include the Claude Rains version of The Phantom of The Opera, rather than the superior silent version featuring Lon Chaney senior. Regardless, this is a wonderful and affordable addition to my high def film collection. Buy it when it’s on sale. You’ll be glad you did.

Love this set. These are the ones that started them all. All 6 are here, but I wish that this was the 30 movie set with all the sequels to them. I grew up on monsters like these; but in cartoons like Scooby Doo with Gramp The Vamp and where they went to Dracula's Castle for a mystery. Hope you come out with the rest of the Monsters as well.

This box set is amazing, it has all the great films that started it all, however, the Phantom of the Opera is the 1943 version starring Claude Rains and not the original silent film starring Lon Chaney sr., the special features are cool as well.

Awesome collection for any hardcore classic monster movie fan. Plus There is plenty of additional information for hardcore fans in the booklet that really makes it even more special.

This is a must have for Horror movie lovers. These are the pioneers of Monster movies and the Horror genre.....and now in BluRay. Could not find it for a lesser price, and if I did, the shipping shot the price up and would still have to wait for it.

The movies are of course amazing. The classics almost always are. The only problem I have with this other wise beautiful set is the disk folders. It’s too easy for the disks to fall out or get scratched

This was a great deal (better than the 4k pack). You get more of the classic movies and they look perfect. The movies look so smooth with no grain on the big screen.

i always have loved the old Universal monster movies. i remember growing up being completely freaked out by the Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Invisible Man. been waiting for the bluray of these movie and it was worth the wait.

This is a great collection of all the classic original Universal Monsters movies! Starting a new Halloween tradition with the family with this set!

Bought this Horror Ckassic collection. Love all of these. As a little kid I grew up watching these every Halloween.

It's a great set. The book that comes with it is a nice addition to the set. It's a great price for all of what comes with it. It's better price than most places I've seen.

I got this for Fathers Day. The book that comes with it is very informative. The commentaries and the extras included on each disk are awesome! Great buy. Picture quality is very good.

This Box Set was an impulse buy, but at the sale price i got it for and the quality that the videos are, i am more than impressed. It is sets, and prices, like this that keep me a best buy customer!!

I have been wanting the classic monster films for awhile and to see them in HD is as good as you might think I love this set but the only downside is no digital copies which the individual disc had.

My 4K DVD player upgrades to near 4K, so the picture compared to the original films is excellent.

I know...you’re going to say WHY would I need Blu-rays of this films that are 70-80 years old? Watch them in Blu-ray and you’ll agree. A must for any horror fan.

Great classic monster movies from back in my day. Nothing beats the old original stories.

These classic horror gems look and sound great. This set is absolutely phenomenal in every way. Definitely a great upgrade to those who had them on DVD.
