This remote is a little expensive, but it does everything and is manufactured by a company that specializes in remotes. You do need the Geek Squad to set it up, but it operates multiple devices flawlessly. Finally had to replace our original one after 5 years.

Not sure this is worth the money. Customized installation so no written material from Geek Squad. If you have a lot of gadgets and fond of complexity, might be a good thing for you.

I have had this remote for a short time however it seems to have resolved the issues I was having with the prior remote with the signal being received/recognized by the components. The set up process is somewhat lengthy and required the Geek squad to come out to my home twice in order to complete the set up which is why I rated ease of set up as a 2. The instruction booklet does not provide adequate information on the functions of the remote so I have been learning by trial and error. However, that being said, I am pleased with how the remote has performed thus far. As to its durability time will tell although it appears to be well made and durable.

Wife got this for me as a gift and I ended up exchanging for a less expensive but very good remote by Harmony.

Awesome remote does way more then I ever thought a remote could do, then only downfall is that you can't program it by yourself and it takes several days and multiple trips for them to come and program it again if you get a new device, not to mention the added expense of having them come and do it

Great remote to have. Works through walls beautifully. In all honesty, the only annoyance I have with it is that if I have to add a device or reprogram it, it costs to get that special person to come and do it. If only it were user-friendly where I can do it myself...

Best remote I have ever used. So simple and bullet proof. Great product.

This is our first Universal Remote Control X-7. We have used Logitech Harmony 900 remotes in the past. They were exceptional devices. Logitech has left the remote control business. So, we are just now trying the X-7. You must be aware that this X-7 remote requires professional programming. Thankfully the Geek Squad/Total Tech crew is trained to get the X-7 programmed and matched to your audio/visual equipment. This takes a little time. Be patient.

Was purchased to replace another product that used mostly touch screen and was unacceptable. This remote IS positive, but the buttons are laid out both inconveniently and not in conformity with most other remotes that I have been familiar. Two other items are the high price and the fact that it requires professionals to program it.

Too cumbersome I wish I had a simpler remote I need to be more savy

Works better for bigger hands with push buttons not a touch screen device. Although the buttons are not backlit, so difficult to use in low light settings

My previous remote broke due to it's rechargeable battery freezing up. It was made by a company that went out of business since I purchased it about four yrs ago. This remote works on AA batteries; hence never needs to be charged. If batteries die, just replace them. Even with daily use, battery life seems to be easily several months or more. No need to remember to leave in charger. Remote works flawlessly.

I was satisfied until I realized that it costs $150 to fix or change any programming issues that come up with this remote. Feels like you should be able to call in and have them walk through troubleshooting...rather being forced to pay $150 to Best Buy to come to your to change things when needed

This is a fantastic addition to my entertainment system. What ease in controlling every device from one remote. Easy to use. Thanks to the Geek Squad for a great set up and tutorial.

Works as advertised. Only issue is power consumption is big. Requires frequent battery changes.

Allow me to start by saying this. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE AN ADVANCED PROGRAMMER OR PLAN ON HAVING THE GEEKSQUAD INSTALL IT! This remote requires software that you can not get unless you have a licence to use it. Otherwise this remote is awesome. Can be programmed to turn on all my equipment with a push of a button. Awesome product
