    It ended up fitting well with a few minor adjustments. I had to use some left over screws from another project. In the end it is working well with Ipad2 and defender cases from Otterbox.

    Our ceiling at home is very short. We used this to mount our tablet from the ceiling so we can watch TV in bed, and it works perfectly!

    I wanted a universal mount that would allow me to use my iPad with the case on. This works great, for the 2nd and newer gens iPads with cases, (tested) but for the 1st generation, its a little tight with the official Apple case. Its a very minor issue because it doesn't really slow me down. Theres rubber parts I had to remove to make my tablet fit with case.My advise is to check the user manual to make sure the tablet you have fits, and fits with the case you have. Unless you don't mind removing the case with every use. I don't know why companies ignore the fact that people are protecting there devices. Prepare to take off you case.
