Don't let stranger in! If you haven't figured that out by now then this suspense film by director Eli Roth will show you the bad things that can happen. Tame by his standards but still worth a watch if you're not expecting too much.

Great horror movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is the best because it’s the serious stoic Keanu reeves in a movie that knows what exactly it is supposed to be. Scary messed up and perversely funny. Love!

Honestly I loved the movie. I think I think I like the story more than anything. But Keanu Reeves role in this was defiantly different from the roles I'm use to seeing him in. All around I enjoyed this movie.

I think the reason this film is being trashed by so many reviewers is because this scenario could & probably has happened to men, first off I will say I am not a fan of Eli Roth in any way, his "Hostel" films I refuse to watch, I don't mind gore if it serves the story, but those films are just gory for the sake of being gory, at first I had reservations about watching this one, but having seen Ana De Armas in the recent "Blade Runner 2049" & being a fan of Keanu Reeves I figured it was time to give this one a look seeing that she is in it & it being a $5.00 add-on-item, I figured why not, because of the reviews I expected to hate this film but was pleasently surprised at how effective its suspense was, suspense thrillers are rare in films these days....now on too the review....

This movie is way out there. I mean the plot can happen, but main character should have stopped the problem from the beginning. Then there wouldn't be a film.

4 stars is high but for two reasons, 1: Keanu's acting is by far his best in many years. 2: Eli Roth manages to get humor in the one place I least expected it, the very end, and it works, or at least I was laughing. The film itself is okay, not bad, not great. The two female baddies are unexpectedly hot, especially the spanish gal(that accent) and equally scary when you don't know what they will do next. Two angry "teenage" girls with all the power and control and no one home or nearby for days? No thanks. From the moment the girls take over it gets pretty suspenseful and equally uncomfortable. I kinda felt helpless myself as I wondered "what would I do"?? The cinematography isn't very flashy or stylish but it doesn't really need to be. There is one sequence in the beggining with a nice long tracking shot showing the beautiful house and family photos on the wall, in the end the exact same shot occurs only this time showing the destruction the chicks left behind. I like the comparison. Keanu's acting is superb. It literally is the best I've seen him act, Eli must have some mind power over him because he rose to the occasion. When he gets hurt(and bad) I really REALLY bought his yelling and screaming. Its not the best role he has ever had, I'm saying he pulled out acting chops I had no idea he had. I believed he was terrified, I believed he was a father and husband. The 2nd and 3rd act, most of his dialogue was something I would have said, or the average person would have said, not really thinking EVERY LITTLE THING through like they do in a movie, but just acting on reflex/instinct. Wow Keanu, wow.

Not my personal favorite of his but it’s still decent and anything is better than A walk in the clouds. Point break is still one of his best.

I was actually disappointed that Keanu Reevs got the C- actor treatment in this film. At least it seemed like it. If you like Keanu Reeves, it's worth the watch but you may get mad at what happens to him in the film.

I like Keanu Reeves, even though he isn't the most versatile actor. This movie is definitely worth watching, but is no great work of art. It has a plot and action, which is all I was expecting.

Knock Knock is a home invasion thriller / cautionary tale written and directed by Eli Roth. Unlike the violence of his other works, (e.g. Hostel), Knock Knock plays out on a psychological level as a waking nightmare. The setting and cinematography are key to the film's success, and these technical elements are excellent. Aside from a few missteps, the performances work . The film's strength lies in the chemistry between the duo of Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas, who shines. Keanu Reeves has been better, but he has still has some good moments in here. This movie isn't as good as it could have been, as it misses opportunities to explore themes that would've served it well, but it's not as bad as many reviews have stated. There are many things that do work well in Knock Knock! There's no option for 3.5 stars, so Im'm giving it 4. Sometimes it's fun to sit back and watch the insanity, and for that, Knock Knock is a fun 'midnite' movie full of cheap thrills and craziness! There's an audience here for fans of the genre. At the right price, and for the cautionary lessons alone, Knock Knock is recommended!

Keanu Reeves is interesting because having been in Hollywood and movies for so long and consistently showing up year by year in movies I don't think he's considered a top tier talent on the level he was when the Matrix franchise was at its height in popularity. But having said that, in recent years he's made a pretty good living showing up in a variety of genre films and seemingly always improving on the concept that at first the tagging or summery of said film would be eye rolling or immediately passed over. Much like he recently with John Wick. Keanu teams up with a director who knows what their doing in their particular genre, in this instance Eli Roth and then he gives it his best effort throwing himself into the roll preconceived notions be damned. He can't be boxed in. This movie isn't your typical horror film its more thriller and based in tension. It's a psychological thriller, you'll be putting yourself in Keanu's shows and asking yourself if you'd make the same decisions. A tiny, easy to be missed movie, but one you should definitely check out.
