I spent a very long time trying to come up with a reason to mark Unravel down as a game but I just… can’t! Really, I can’t think of one negative thing to say about it. From the visuals to the audio, the smooth and responsive gameplay (and lack of glitches) to the touching story/message; there is nothing wrong with this game. Honestly, if you even slightly enjoy puzzle or platformer games, even slightly, buy Unravel. Do it.

Yarny is a fun puzzle platformer that doesn't try to do too much. You basically are a cat made of yarn and have to go through a zone using that yarn to latch onto things to swing over, push/pull things and solve puzzles to get through the level and find hidden items. Each level is based on a memory from the woman who knitted Yarny. There's not a lot of story to Yarny's adventure, but the levels are more like looking back on memories of a full life. The puzzles aren't too hard, nor too easy and with a little thought you can figure out what you need to do. The music is also pretty good and makes for an enjoyable, and relaxing, game.

This game is very very well done for an indie game. I would say its a side scroller with the best graphics. Its totally worth the money to try it out.. Youre this little roll of red yarn off to save memories

Purchased a physical copy of the game Unravel after seeing it in the store, as it has been a game that's had my eye for a while but as a collector I prefer physical titles for my shelf, plus the added bonus of the yarn doll appealed to me. Never again. I was under the assumption a physical copy of the game was in the box and it was not until I got in my car and checked the receipt that I found out I was only buying the yarn doll and a code to download the game that was printed on the receipt. I walked directly back into the store to return the product only to be told that because the code was printed on the receipt it can't be returned. Nobody advised me of this in the back when I asked about the game to a worker and the cashier as well failed to mention that it was a code at checkout and could not be returned. Extremely unsatisfied with this transaction after ALWAYS choosing Best Buy for all my gaming purchases.
