The basic premise of the game is a bunch of teenagers are trapped in a snowy mountain cabin and have to survive until dawn. It's an interactive movie game where take turns controlling different characters in a manner similar to games like Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, or Telltale Games series like Tales From the Borderlands or The Walking Dead. The choices you make and how you handle the quick time events decide who lives and who dies. There's an ending where all the teens live, one where they all die, and one for every combination in between. It's a fantastic movie-game with plenty of jump scares, tension, and possibly the best looking graphics on a console to date.

Has great jump scares, great story line and it get you all caught up in the game. It's not a super scary game that you will wet yourself ,think horror movie.Play in the dark and crank up the volume and have some fun. has a butterfly effect. Meaning you'll have to play again to get different endings and reactions.I'd recommend this game it's worth the buy. If you don't want to risk buying watch some gameplay on YouTube only the beginning and if you like the story buy it. It's worth the story .Oh it's a interactive game so you play through the story. Has at least 6 hours of game play but more hours with replaying due to the butterfly effect. Happy Gaming

Until Dawn is one of the greatest games of it's kind. It goes above and beyond being just a horror game, and is one of the few cinematic games where your choices really do matter. Follow a group of teenage friends who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Akin to many slasher films, you will follow the group as they are taken down one by one by a mysterious opposition. Neither life nor death is guaranteed, as you make split second decisions that will completely change the outcome of the story. Everyones lives are in your hands, and every choice leads to a different outcome. What will your choices be?

I gave it 5 stars because the story is good the voice acting is good its amazing how good it looks . Its a lot like heavy rain and beyound two souls. Great death scenes

I enjoy adventure games and horror games. This is very similar to games such as Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. This is very much like both of those in that your play through will different from someone elses, and certain characters can die. It's very well done. It really helps that the graphics and overall presentation are very cinematic. I mean this is a very gorgeous looking game and is purposely done in the vein of a teen slasher flick. It works well. I haven't played it with the motion controls turned on so I can't comment on those, but believe me this game is top notch. I recommend it.

The story and game play and graphics on this game are by far some of the best selling points on this one. This game offers plenty of jump scares, suspense and plot twists to keep you coming back for more.

As a fan of the Telltale series of story based games, I figured I would give this one a try. I was not disappointed. The motion capture, graphics, and acting are top notch. The story was well written. Be warned though if you are looking for an in your face action game, this is not it. If you like the slow burn of exploration and actual meaningful choices (seriously, a small choice in Chapter 1 will snowball by the time you get to chapter 10 and drastically change events, the story, and even outcomes) thiis is a great additon to your ps4 library.

If you liked Sony's The Order 1886 you will probably enjoy this game. This game is really more of a cinematic movie in which you can decide some of the decisions for each character (more like the latest Sherlock Holmes game). However do not let it's simplicity fool you. This game is very enjoyable, if you like horror films. It is an interactive horror film that is far from dull.

Love this game. It keeps me in suspense every time I play it and keeps me going back to it. I'm excited to see what will happen next. The game is great but with room for improvement. The story so far has been great, love that all the characters have their own personalities and relationship status with each other which can grow or worsen depending on the actions. Love that there is so many different ways that this game can go, the story depends on some of the decisions you make, not all but some of the decisions. I would definitely recommend buying this game.

If you love open world RPGs, amazing storylines, suspense, horror, who done it and a little spicy action in your games you will love this one! Until dawn is a choice by choice game that leads u down the story line depending on what u decide to choose throughout the game. The voice overs and game play are top notch, and the creators hit the nail on the head with this tastefully well done thriller.

This game is hands down amazing. Imagine heavy rain only a lot better. And heavy rain was a great game. This game got little marketing or positivity and I think it's phenomenonal. The story is great, the game play amazing, the graphics outstanding, it's just a terrific game that is completely overlooked. There's so many different directions and the cinematics are very well done. Pick up this game now, and play through the whole thing. It's like watching a great horror movie but even better cause you're playing it. It doesn't disappoint.

I got this game for me and my girlfriend. She doesn't play video games usually and she still really enjoyed playing this while I watched. It's a great game to go through with a friend because you can help each other decide what decisions to make that impact the outcome of the game. The controls are a pretty simple so new gamers can pick it up easily. There's plenty of creepy, tense moments as well as a solid mix of jump scares. The story is also interesting to follow as you go along and find clues.

The graphic detail and voice acting in the game are amazing. Jumping around between characters and storyline keeps you wanting to dive deeper into the story. The music score matches to the games surroundings and intensifies each scene. Im not too far into the game yet, but it seems like there will be some replayability with the butterfly effect. Its like watching a horror movie and finally being able to take control. If you want to have a good scream and get some chills, I recommend this game with the lights down and the sound up.

Until Dawn is the best horror game in a long time. Its not by the same developer, but it shares gameplay similarities to Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, but much better. Its a very unique game. You play this game for the story, which is basically like a 10 hour interactive movie. You play as every single teenager throughout the game, which keeps everything fresh. It has great horror elements and some fun twists. Amazing graphics and environments. If you have a PS4, this is an exclusive you do not want to miss.

I love story driven games and this is among the best! The "butterfly effect" system is really cool because it takes the guesswork out of how your choices affect the story. The totems allow observant players to make the right choices their first time through. The graphics and lighting are top-notch but the facial animations dip deep into the uncanny valley far too often. The replayability is somewhat limited because there are a finite number of choices to make. Overall it's one of the better game experiences I've had this year.

I played through this game with a group of friends over the course of a few nights (it's a short game, but don't worry-it's all quality and highly replayable) and we had an absolute blast being terrified and making several do-or-die decisions. We found the story both satisfyingly silly (a la campy teen slasher flicks) as well as authentically scary and well written. If you're a fan of horror (games or movies), I recommend grabbing a few friends, turning down the lights, and checking this one out!

Ever watched a scarey movie and be like "ooooh no! Don't go in there!!!!" But they never listen? Well now you can make them listen! Every decision you make in this game has a consequence...for better or worse. I'm assuming the ultimate goal is to get everyone out ALIVE. The story is amazing, voiced and acted out by REAL actors and the graphics are some of Sonys best! Hope they make another game with the same concept! This is a solid game. The story and acting a pretty good. It has a nice look to the game. The game is largely a quicktime event game, but it is executed very well.

Finished the game in two days. If you play the game alone in the dark, be prepared to be really scared. This game made me jumped so many times. The story was great. The characters all have their unique personalities that you instantly will like and unlike them. You can control who to survive the terror. Save them all, save some and kill some, or kill them all... it is completely up to you. I really enjoyed the game. It was fun and entertaining. Great graphic, story, music, and voiceover. Highly recommend!
