Customers appreciate the GO Posture Trainer for its ease of use, with quick app connectivity. Many users find it effective in posture correction, serving as a reminder to maintain an upright posture. The vibration feature is noticeable yet gentle, providing feedback on posture. However, some users have concerns about the adhesive quality on the back and the short battery life of 2-3 days.

This device seems to work as advertised. As soon as I received my product I installed the accompanying app on my smart phone. The product came charged and set up was super easy. Id estimate that within 15 minutes of opening the box I had everything set and had the sensor on my back. The calibrating process is quick and easy. It’s a little hard to use at my desk as I lean back a lot and that sets off the device. But for everything else I do I find it easy to use and it after a week I find my posture has already improved a bit. Not just from the device, but it has put more awareness into my head to focus on my posture, even when Im not wearing the device.
There is a bit of a training program which monitors your progress and has you use it a little more each day. You can also have it in tracking mode just to see how you have been doing. The best though was when my ex girlfriend (still a friend) noticed some improvement in my posture. Thank you Upright Go! Great idea that has been very well executed!

Posture has been one of my issues, not a huge one, but an issue nonetheless.I am going to keep it short and sweet, This Device sticks to your back, right on top of your spinal cord. The material is sticky and adheres to skin and they're replaceable too. You download the app and connect the device via Bluetooth (You can buy the extra stickies right from the app which is convenient as heck!). My posture definitely needed work. It's crazy how we don't pay attention to the little things that make a difference in overall back pain. Even when I'm not wearing it I can still feel it vibrate when I slouch. It's basically a personal trainer that tells you when you're slouching. The cherry on top is the fact that it flows seamlessly with my apple watch. I would definitely recommend this.

I have a very bad posture and I have back aches. I hope to correct my posture with this Upright GO or at least make me realize how bad my posture is.
It is really easy to get set up. You can set the posture using the app or the unit itself by double tapping the power button. You can also turn the unit off with the app or long pressing on the power button. In training mode, the Upright Go will vibrate when you slouch telling you to get upright again. As you complete your training sessions, the training time increases. It starts with 5 minute training, then two 5 minute and right now I am on Day 7 with two 7 minute training sessions. You can set it to train for 20 minutes then automatically switch to tracking which doesn’t alert you when you are slouching. Tracking just tallies how long you were upright and slouched and you can view those stats in the app. The stats also include how long you were in training and tracking and it tells you what time of the day it was logged. You can set your desired motion range before the device vibrates. I have it set to 2 after being on it for a week and I’ve become pretty comfortable with it. You can also adjust the delay time before the device vibrates to give you more time to get upright. There’s also three presets for the type of activity that you will be doing while training. You can set training reminders, notifications, check battery status and order more adhesives through the Upright Go app. The app works with Apple Watch and Mac too. Also works with Android devices (not tested).
It comes with extra adhesives and alcohol wipes. You can buy some more through the app or Amazon. I have not had any problems sticking the device to my back and I haven’t noticed any irritations. They say the adhesives are made of a medical grade silicone. They say the adhesives can be reused 3-10 times before it has to be changed. I have used it about 8 times and it is still sticking just fine. I leave it on for about 60-90 minutes and it does not bother me and sometimes I’ve forgotten that it was stuck on my back. I think its a good idea to wear a fitted shirt or a shirt tucked in to your pants just in case the adhesive wears out and the device crashes on the ground. I haven’t tested its durability. Definitely not made to use while exercising. It’s great when I’m sitting down especially when I’m doing computer work. I tend to have the worst posture at that time. I also use it while doing normal house chores.
Although I can’t say that it has made an immediate impact with my backaches, it has made me more conscious about my poor posture so I guess it did its job. I know in the long run it will help me with my back issues because it will continue to remind me to correct my posture. I wish there was a more wearable version that can be worn all day. If anything, my wife thinks it made a bit of difference. I’m really glad I did this for myself and I wish I could have done this long ago! Go do it for yourself today.

Surprisingly good job

I've never thought that I have "terrible" posture or anything but I rarely think about it so I'm always sure I could do better. This little thing does a good job of making me think about it more if anything else. And that has made me more conscience of my posture throughout the day. I'm pretty sure that's what it's made to do so I think it does it's job well!
Setup is super easy. It comes with a handful of sticky pads and a carry case. The instructions included do a good job of walking you through setup but it's pretty much just as simple as downloading the app, connecting to the device and doing some starter stuff to make you understand how things will work while you're on your "routine".
I was afraid of the sticky pads being a thing you'd need to replace often but they are surprisingly reusable and since the training routines aren't supposed to last your whole life or anything, you may get away with only using one or two if you feel like your results are good enough. After my first 2 weeks, I don't feel like I need to use it very often anymore but I'll finish the routine I'm on and probably go back and do another routine later or use the "tracking mode" on occasion just to keep me going.
The routines are super easy. They start you out very slow with just 5 minutes and they recommend you don't "over train" and to do a maximum of double your required amount if you feel like doing extra. But the whole system is a way to make you think about your posture more. When I placed the sensor on my back with the sticky pad, it was almost impossible to feel anymore so I wasn't being constantly reminded of it's presence but I still found myself thinking about it more anyways and when i'm not wearing it, I'm also thinking more often about how I'm sitting. I'm surprised at how conscience it made me about my posture even if it wasn't terrible to start with.
The app works pretty well. I haven't found any glaring issues or bugs which is rare these days. I already mentioned the setup process through the app but the actual routine works nicely as well. The app will remind you whenever you want (or not at all if you don't want it to) that it's time to train. You can then just put the device on your back and hold the power button to turn it on. You need to calibrate it to a comfortable upright sitting position every time you place it on your back by either pressing the calibrate button in the app or your can double press the power button to do it straight from the device. It's another thing I thought would be a hassle and ended up being no big deal. The app then simply shows you an image with a goal marker for your posture. Just don't relax your posture past the red dot and you're all good. If you bend too far, it'll vibrate to let you know. When your training session is over you can switch to tracking mode if you want to keep the device on. This is nice if you want to see how well you're doing without feedback as the tracking mode turns off the vibrate when you bend so you can just wear it for a while and then check later to see what percentage of that time you were "upright".
All in all, if this device is in your budget and you're looking to improve your posture, I would recommend it. It's easy to setup and use and isn't as much of a bother as I thought it would be. It has also done a good job of training my body to just think about my posture more which forces me to correct it even when not wearing the device.

Great Posture Training Device

I ordered the Upgright Go device with some sceptisism after it was recommended to me by a friend who is a nurse. She had heard great comments regarding the device and suggested I order it as I am tending to slouch a lot sitting at my computer all day. The Upright Go is easy to set up and activate. It works as advertised and I find myself straightening my back even when not wearing the Go unit. It reminds you to straighten by vibrating when you slouch. After a while, you automatically catch yourself even when not wearing the device. A great product!

Good for posture awareness

The Upright Go Posture Trainer could be a very good device for those who are, simply put, really obsessive about maintaining good posture.
The device itself, about the size of half a business card, is made to stick on your upper back (using any one of the number of included adhesives) and operates essentially like a home security system's garage door sensor -- it tells to what degree you are bending your back. And for that determination, the device is pretty accurate, given that you can literally stick the device on either side of your spine, as they recommend, to the point that you can't reach any further up when reaching around with your arms.
The Upright Go Posture Trainer is rechargable and its firmware is updateable (which will likely occur when you receive it, based on the app reading the device from your smart phone). The app itself operates similarly to how popular fitness trackers operate -- you have the opportunity to train the device as to what level of activity you normally engage in so that it determines proper degree of back tilt, and then it begins the process of tracking how you move throughout the day.
As I mentioned off the top, this device is good for those who have a legitimate need to track their posture. I think if you're someone who has a seriously chronic issue with your back, this definitely will not replace formal physical therapy or a full-on back brace (certainly something needed for those who do have more advanced issues).
However, with pop-up reminders for personal tracking, the Upright Go Posture Trainer can go a long way to keeping you much more aware of how you're holding your core posture throughout the day.

I work from home, sitting behind a computer for usually 10 hours a day. I was excited to try this device, as I find myself slouching, leaning, and otherwise in all kinds of poor posture throughout the day.
In the box is the trainer, USB charging cable, case, and extra adhesive stickers. Setup is easy, install app, pair, place trainer in center of back, calibrate and you're done. The app is intuitive, with two modes, training and tracking. During training the trainer will vibrate (think average cell vibrate strength) if the trainer detects it is not fully upright. Tracking mode will track your posture without feedback and give you a graph in the app of how much of your duration was upright versus slouched.
The trainer is a small (less than 2" long) plastic rectangle with an adhesive strip on the back. It lies near flush to your skin (.5"), and visibility through clothing varies. When wearing thin materials the LED can been seen through material, but when wearing thickers shirts, neither the LED or the bulk of the trainer are obvious. Actual use is easier than expected, you don't have to reach the precise middle of your back between your shoulder blades to use. Instead anywhere near center, in your upper mid back will work. There is also a necklace that can be purchased which allows the trainer to hang on the back of your neck, so you have options if you aren't a fan of buying or using the adhesive strips. The strips seem to last me a few days up to a week, pending how active I am and how frequently I put on / remove the trainer. The adhesive material is the same as used with TENS units, so it will maintain stickiness for multiple applications without ripping off your skin or leaving residue.
The only downside I found is the requirement to purchase new adhesive strips, or the necklace, and the fact that the trainer occasionally loses connection with the app. Both of these are relatively minor, and do not affect overall performance.
Using the trainer is an interesting experience, I used this to correct my posture, then got annoyed when it vibrated every few minutes. If you are purchasing this to help your posture, you need to ensure you are committed to making the changes. If so, it's highly recommended, as you will find that you'd rather sit up than deal with the annoying vibrations. Overall a really solid product and app experience.

I have been noticing that sitting at a computer all day for work and all night for gaming has taken a real toll on my posture (back pain at night). I have recently started using this product and have noticed a dramatic improvement in my posture. It “pings” me when I start to slouch and I correct my posture right away. Awesome product!

Fantastic But Annoying Gadget

I have to say, this little device sure does its job, but a bit too well. Just like any other tracker, it's up to you if you want to put it on and let it do its thing. My FitBit and Apple Watch are both useful in their own ways. FitBit tracks my sleep and steps, Apple Watch vibrates for phone calls and notifications, and this device constantly lets me know how often I unfortunately slouch and need to work on correcting my posture!
I don't recommend using it all the time because it does get annoying. But this will keep you awake at work if you sit at a desk and tend to slouch like I do. I noticed as I continued using it that I started slouching very slightly less, while being more conscious of slouching overall even without it on.
For $60-70 it's really a great value for your overall health. Back pain is not great...and improving your posture always seemed difficult to do. But the Upright GO really helps out and is a great value.
I would probably pay a little extra for the Upright GO 2 since it's newer and I hear it's slightly better. But can't complain about version 1.

I’ve always been a sloucher and I hate it and have always wanted to stand up straight but it is easier to slouch. Just not easier on my back pain. I have also tried a harness but that can be uncomfortable and very restricting. This just reminds me with a light vibrate “stand up straight”. It’s like having someone constantly reminding you because it’s very easy to not think about minute to minute. You turn it on, stick it on your upper back and the app monitors your progress. The only annoyance come from leaning over to write something at my desk. But you can adjust settings too Make it work for your needs. It just buzzed at me while looking down at my phone to do this review. Up!. I put it at a 5 sec Delay notification time so if I am just bending over to get something, I am not being over alerted. The app and training sessions are Also very customizable. It is also very discreet and can be worn under a shirt or sweater with nothing showing. Great product so far. Excited to stand more upright!

Elegant Solution for a Specific Issue

The Upright - GO Posture Trainer is an elegant solution for improving your posture. It was ready to go as soon as it was charged and set up was practically instantaneous. Placement on the upper back was easy and the device became unnoticeable after a couple minutes.
The basic Training function notifies you when you slouch with a vibration - which prompts you to immediately correct your posture. You can also set it to the Tracking function which will track how well you're doing without giving the vibration prompts.
The key is adjusting the initial setting for what is 'correct' posture. The tendency is to set it while in an abnormally upright posture - which causes the vibration to go off too frequently. Once you've learned to set it for a more realistic posture, it works much better.
This is one of those instances of technology being used for positive life-improvement.

I Love This Thing

Bottom line: Get this product to correct your posture. It is both wonderful for your health and your newly attained posture will exude confidence.
Before I grabbed this amazing product, I used a posture corrector strap on and off for months. The strap did work, but was always uncomfortable and I just took the off when I couldn't take it.
This thing, on the other hand, is both basic yet extremely effective. It essentially is your little buddy on your upper back that reminds you that you're slouching and taps you on the back to remind you. The name of the game is to try to never have to be reminded of such a thing.
The device works in conjunction with your phone using the UPRIGHT GO App. It is here where you can either be in a Training or Tracking Mode. The training mode will be the mode where the device will vibrate when it detects you slouching. It can be configured to trigger at various posture points if you need to ease yourself toward a perfect posture. Eventually, you'll want to get to a point where the slightest slouching will trigger the device. The tracking mode will not cause the device to vibrate and will only track your progress.
The device can either be affixed to your back using the provided tape or you can use a proprietary necklace (sold separately). It comes with extra tape and when all the tape wears out, you can purchase another set right from the app. The tape doesn't bother my skin and sticks just fine, but you may want to think twice if you're part human part grizzly bear.
Highly recommended. I will continue to use this product long term.

The Upright GO fills an interesting little niche, that of a posture monitor. Probably most of us, including me, go through life not worrying too much about our posture. But if you’re like me and spend most of your workday sitting at a desk, often working at a computer, you might want to think about how your posture is affected and how this might take a toll on your back over time. In other words, you might not want to wait until you’re 60 to discover that if you had started paying attention to your posture when you were 30, you wouldn’t now have that sore back.
The device sticks to your upper back, and when I first saw it advertised, I got the impression that it was about the size of deck of cards. I didn’t think that would be terribly comfortable to have stuck to your upper back all day. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is much smaller, only about the size of a book of matches, and very light. I could not really feel it at all when it was mounted on my back.
Setup is easy. Out of the box, the device is partially charged. It comes with a USB charging cable, but not an A/C adapter, so you’ll need one of those (if you don’t already have a drawerful like I do) to charge it. In addition to a small carry case, everything else in the box is related to mounting it on your back. There are extra alcohol prep pads and adhesive strips along with a little, guitar pick-shaped piece of plastic to aid in removing old adhesive pads from the device.
You do need to download and install to your smartphone the Upright GO app. Once installed, setting up your account and providing your profile (age, height, weight, level of activity) is easy, the phone then pairs with the device, and you’re ready to go. The first thing you do is mount the device and, through the app, have it learn your normal upright posture. Then, when you lean or slouch forward, the device will vibrate to let you know. A number of different vibration settings (length of vibration, intensity of vibration, repeating or not) are available. There is a five-second delay so that if you are momentarily bent over, to pick something up off the floor say, there is no vibration. It is designed to recognize and report continued slouching or forward leaning.
There is also a trainer mode where you can select from three pre-set modes, stationary, standard, and active, to tell the device how you normally move through the day. If, say, you’re always at your desk, you might select stationary. If you frequently get up from your desk for various reasons, you might select active. Etc. You are specifically cautioned not to use the device if you are actively exercising, especially if you could be sweating.
Having been using it for most of a week now, I found the device to be surprisingly helpful in maintaining my posture. I have it on the “standard” mode, and it was surprising to me how many times I was slouching or leaning forward over the course of a day and didn’t realize it. I would suddenly feel a very mild vibration on my back, and I would recognize that I was slouching and straighten up.
The app does recognize that most users won’t want to wear this all day, and it has an “ok, that’s enough for one day” message telling you it’s time to take it off and recharge it for the next day.
As I said at the top, most of us probably don’t pay attention and attempt to improve our posture during a day of office work, and many of us could likely benefit from doing so. If you are one of these people, the Upright GO will certainly fill that bill.
