Another solid album from Mark Ronson filled with carefully chosen guests and excellent songwriting. While most know the lead single featuring Bruno Mars the rest of the album is worth a listen as well. This picks up where his previous album "Version" left off, only instead of '60's soul-era reimaginings this album features all original music and the vibe is more funk oriented. Think "The Time" or "Kool & the Gang" Highly recommended for fans of classic R&B.

I will admit, UPTOWN FUNK was the ONLY reason I purchased it and STILL play!!!! GIVES MADNESS!!! However, there are MANY jewels in this musical chest. You can tell that, with Mark, musical influences from the 70's & 80's played a part in his musical life. You can hear it all over, which was another draw here. Another one was the guest performers. Outside of Bruno Mars, there's Mystikal, Keyone Starr, Kevin Parker, Andrew Wyatt, Jeff Bhasker, and the one and only Stevie Wonder. Thow all these musical talents, whether you've heard of them or not, in a box, shake well, and you get a awesome fallout of genres gone by. TOTALLY LOVED THIS PROJECT!!!

I'm in my early 60's and I love this record. Over the years I've listened to MANY artists and MANY albums. To get an idea how good this record is, consider that "Uptown Funk" (the Grammy winner) is not the strongest track here. Mark Ronson has been a producer for much of the newest trends in music, but this record takes music from "back in the day" and updates it into a modern soulful pop sound that is almost like a "concept album" - all the tracks function together, in this case to get you into your smooth urban night life. Spotify...then buy!

Mark Ronson is a talented musician who produced the best tracks by late singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. Here Ronson writes and plays music but he calls on other talents like Bruno Mars for vocals. The great surprise is hearing Stevie Wonder's harmonica solo on the opening track. Highly recommended.

I purchased this Mark Ronson CD for the song "Uptown Funk" and was pleasantly surprised that the rest of the CD, with the exception of song 3 which is very explicit and unneeded, were just as driving, rhythmic and ear catching as "Uptown Funk". Vocals are easily understood and well recorded and the balance of instrumentation is exact and not bass heavy. It is a nice homage to the funk era with a more modern approach and a varied music style.

So I thought I would give it a try just based on the one song I had heard before buying it (Uptown Funk). This CD was a great purchase and takes you on a musical journey through various styles of funk, hip hop and R&B.

The song Get Right featuring Mystikal is the song of the year for me. So infectious! The rest of the CD is pretty cool too. But man, that Mystikal song makes the purchase of this CD a must.

Mark Dobson knows how to produce some outstanding music!! Was not disappointed at all One of my favorites to listen to in the car!

This is album has a throwback vibe. Feels more like a compilation due to all the various singers contributing vocals.

Love the hit Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars, and I read a very positive review for this album so I bought it the first day it came out. I love Best Buy's order on-line/ pick up at local store for free. I bought the CD for an old school friend of mine who loves Bruno Mars. She listens to CD's in her car. The only other song that I like is the raunchy Feel Right, but the lyrics are filthy.

Great CD, Mark Ronson has pulled together some great artists for this album. Bruno Mars puts it over the top

Not sure if I would like the entire cd, but it is a nice cd to get up and dance around your house with.

I never heard of Mark Ronson but I bought the music when I heard Bruno Mars so I bought the whole CD anyway. I actually listen to the whole thing!!!! I'm glad I did wasn't dissapointed

I listened to this cd on our vacation to the Grand Canyon National Park and I really enjoyed it

Brought the CD for one song but the rest of the tracks are surprisingly great as well. Love it!

Great album, it has a great summer feel to it. Mark Ronson is an under rated guitar player.

Uptown Special is a druggier, more downbeat, and cerebral disc than its predessesor.

Purchased for Uptown Funk only. Some of the other songs contain foul language.

CD was decent I would recommend to a friend. Different types of music on the cd.
