Great earbuds

These earbuds offer many options for obtaining the proper fit. They come with ear clips, different sized in ear wings and 4 sizes of tips. I experimented with all of them and found the best fit for me. (I am using the ear clips and large tips) I have been using these primarily for working out on both the treadmill and weights and have had no problems with them falling out. They have great sound, very crisp and clear and solid bass that is not muddy or overbearing. They claim on the box that they offer "6" star service and they don't lie. I had a problem putting on one of the earclips and broke it. I contacted V-Moda service via email and received an almost immediate response. I explained the problem and they sent me out new earclips and I had them the next day.Vanessa in customer service was outstanding and answered my inquiries almost immediately. After receiving the new earclips I realized that I probably broke the earclip because I did not install it correctly. I have not had an opportunity to use them for phone calls. The 3 button control works well and they paired easily with my phone and computer. They only negative I can find is that there is no battery level indicator to tell you what level your battery is at. There may be a low battery signal but I did not see anything in the manual about it. Overall very satisfied and would recommend these as a step up from basic earbuds

Box
The V-MODA BassFit’s come in a nicely designed 6-sided box and you have to cut the string seal to open it.
Build
The BassFits are very light and the cord is supposed to be tangle-free. So far, it's not tangled for me. I would have liked an extra inch or so in it's length. There is also a clip to tighten the cord if needed. Also, the buds are magnetized to connect to each other and stay around your neck. This works well unless you have a really big neck.
Connectivity
I had no trouble connecting the headphones to both my iPhone and my Android. These will connect to two devices at the same time but you can only listen to one device at a time. The signal was strong and i didn't have trouble with the Bluetooth dropping out in the several high interference areas i travel through and they stayed connected across multiple rooms in my house.
Fitment
The BassFit’s come with three ways to fit, ear hooks, in-ear wings and just the tips. Experiment with whatever is most comfortable for you. After trying several different tips (there are two sets of four sizes, yes, you get extras, the headphones are most comfortable with just the tips. I found the hooks wouldn’t let them stay in as tight as I like and i'm just not a fan of the wings.
Sound
As the name implies, these have great sounding bass and mid-tones. I found that highs sometimes got lost in all the bass. The sound stage is one of the widest I've heard in ear buds. I assume this is due to the aptX codec. Depending on your device, you can choose which codec you use. The volume range is excellent. These are not noise-canceling headphones but with the proper fit, outside noises are kept at bay. There is a microphone in the control pod which i'm told sounds decent on the other end of the line.
Battery Life
The BassFit is rated to have an 11 hour battery life with a quick charge of 15 minutes providing up to 2.5 hours of use. Ive been using them pretty solid for a couple of days and still have over 30% charge remaining and am optimistic you will get 11+ hours of use from a single charge.
Controls
There is a 3-button controller on the right side of the headphones. I have a big neck so when the cord is wrapped behind my head, the control is in a awkward position. I was however comfortable finding the buttons i was looking for. There is a two-button combination to access Siri or Hey Google and both worked equally as well. The arrow buttons only handle volume and the center button does the rest of the work, play, pause, answering and dropping calls and jumping forward or back.
Rather than spoken words for power on, off, Bluetooth connect and low battery, the BassFits play a little jingle. I prefer words but the jingles are cute.
The field of wired bluetooth earbud headphones is pretty great and these are some pretty great headphones. At this price point however, I would have liked to have noise cancelling, although i will admit, there isn't much noise to cancel with these. I also would have liked an app to provide some equalization to adjust the highs just a smidge.
I would recommend these to a friend, especially if/when they go on sale for $99 or less.

Not bad but not great wireless headphones

The Vmoda bassfit headphones were an attempt to find wireless headsets that are more comfortable and with the various ear molds and over ear option I thought these would be a good fit! (Pun intended) Unfortunately I couldn’t seem to make this work on my ears the way I thought they would and so I find myself with a somewhat uncomfortable pair of wireless headphones. What I do like about these headsets is that they have decent battery life and seem to be a solid build all around. The sweat and water resistance is a plus for working out. The over ear portion is a little too stiff for my liking which I was hoping for something softer to accommodate my ear size (larger but not overly large). I was also unimpressed with the overall sound quality, reading about the company and their products it doesn’t seem that these are up to par with what I would expect. No real bass to speak of but still good clarity with most alternative and rock music that I listen to during a workout. There is no app to mess with EQ settings as I have experienced with other wireless headphones so that is a negative for me.I think for the money I would expect more, especially considering the competition and their offerings.

I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of earbuds. To get good sound from them you have to jam them into your ears and get a good seal to keep noise out and the bass in. The problem with earbuds, at least in my experience, is that they never stay in place for very long. Such is the case with the V-Moda headphones. When you initially squeeze the buds into your ears they do indeed sound great. They have a nice neutral sound with a surprising amount of bass. They put out almost as much bass as my Under Armour Project Rock headphones. Unfortunately they work themselves out of your ears pretty quickly and the sound becomes very thin. I found that while working out in the gym basically any sort of movement makes these earbuds shift. When I sweat and use a towel to wipe off my head, I invariably ended up bumping the buds at some point which would pull them out of my ears.
The V-Moda's do have some good points. They come with 4 sets of different sized buds. I actually found that the largest size worked the best for me. They come with clips that go over your ears to help hold them in place as well as little rubber "wings" that fit inside the cartilage of your ears that you can install if you don't like the over the ear style of holders. But I found that putting the wings on was kind of a pain. The instructions tell you to slip the wing over the bud and then twist the wing until you line up a mark on the wing with a mark on the bud. The problem was that the wings are made of a very grippy type of rubber and did not want to move once they were installed on the bud. So the wings ended up not working for me.
The bottom line is that these headphones when installed correctly sounded very good, better than most other earbuds I have tried. The downside is that with ALL earbud headphones getting them to stay in place is an exercise in futility. If you are going to be using these headphones to just listen to music while you walk around the house these will probably work out great for you. But if you want to do any sort of exercise or physical activity then you are going to have to sacrifice some sound quality as the buds eventually work their way out of your ears.

To add context, I own and have tried several wireless headphones. These V-MOMAS seem to have some features that I am certainly interested so I wanted to give them a try. So, these sets come in a very nice box (as V-MODA usually do) displaying the headsets. There are several fitting sizes (4), 3 pairs of ear fins and 1 pair of memory metal ear hooks. It also comes with a micro-USB cable (no charger) and a very nice carrying mesh pouch (thank you V-MOVA!). Putting them on can be a little bit frustrating at first. Finding which gummy fitting works best is always a chore, but I found the size that worked best for me. These headsets are not heavy (17g). The ear hooks are stiff and must be put in in a certain way or they can poke your head or back of the ears. I tried them on this way first and I definitely was aware of them for a while. It was not painful but a bit annoying. After a while, it became fine and putting them on or taking them off became much easier. Next, I tried the fins by themselves. They were much more comfortable. However, they were not as secure while working out. Then I tried the “trifit” design and to my surprise, it actually worked really well! The buds were secure and, once you get used to them, became virtually unnoticeable. By the way, the cable is not too obtrusive, and you can always use the cable manager that’s included. These are supposed to be sweat and weather resistant, but I didn’t get a chance to try that. Now for the most important fact (at least to me): sound quality. Being that these are Bluetooth, I was not expecting great things, even if the technology has come a long way. These have a nice balance between the high, mid and low frequencies with a bit of emphasis on the bass. I found they are rather enjoyable. While listening to podcasts and movies, voices came in nice and clear. During classical music, I can hear (although not as clear and detailed as high-end sets) all instruments and for pop music, the sound was rich and full. In the end, once I got used to putting them on and the way they feel, they became my daily drivers. I certainly enjoy them while doing gymnastic-like movement-based workouts. I highly recommend them -even at their current price.

If you're in the market for a solid set of over-the-shoulder earphones, these could be for you.
While the sound reproduction is on par with most major manufacturers, what I really appreciated most was the ability to effectively switch from headphones to earphones mode.
What I mean is after the headset is paired to a device or computer (and the syncing is quite simple, which is great), I can choose if I wish to use the built-in microphone with this headset. If I do, then the pairing will be treated as a set of headphones where the quality of sound is in mono mode. If I then switch to earphones, the mic source will go away from this device, and I'll receive stereo sound.
Also, molding over the ears is highly customizable, so you won't have to worry about a decent fit.

These headphones don't disappoint on sound quality. I have tried them with a variety of genres, from dubstep to classical. They have exceptional low frequency response, having run an audio test album, and was able to hear as low as 10Hz, up to about 15KHz (the upper range of my own hearing) and they performed beyond my expectations.
V-MODA is not a well known brand as others, but have always excelled at listening to the community and engineering their products with their input. I have owned several pairs of V-MODA headphones, including their Crossfade M-100 wired headphones.
The build and sound quality on the V-MODA Bassfits are no exception and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a great pair of wireless headphones.
