Awesome head phones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always wanted a pair of V-Moda's over the ears for many years. I just couldn't bring myself to pay that kind of $$$. Never could I imagine paying more than $100 for any head phones. I've owned 3 sets of in ear V-Moda's in the past and their customer service has taken care of me. Also their immortal life warranty is what keeps me coming back. I've used it and the process is incredibly easy. I got a healthy raise and thought what the heck plus 12 month 0% interest didn't hurt. I read multiple reviews and I really wanted to go with a corded headset but since I have the iPhone 7 decided to go with a wireless version. I was looking at the crossfades but I didn't like that they didn't fold and I thought traveling with them would be a pain. Then I saw that they released the cross fade 2's with added folding making them easy to travel with. I was actually surprised how small they are once folded and in the case. The sound. Amazing sound I can hear new parts in music that I've listened to for years. Little nuances that you miss. I listened to many headphones in this price range before I decided to go with V-moda's I was biased but what I wanted to make sure. The one thing I noticed was I didn't like any of the cans that had active noise canceling. For what ever reason it made the music sound off. This is a personal decision and you may like that feature on other units. The controls that are built-in are great able to skip music and control the volume. The buttons are relatively easy to use. Middle button pause/skip/etc and left and right for volume up/down As good as these are when you use a cord they sound even better. You just can't compare wireless to to wired. This has a great combo. Of course this is all assuming you are listening to music from a good source. Streaming for Apple Music or Spotify isn't going to give you the experience of listening to lossless music. But you will still notice a difference just not as much as listening to lossless. What really sold me was passed experience with the V-Moda also no other set felt as sturdy as these do. These just feel great in your hands. The case has some removable vents invade you put them away while sweating and you don't want them to get stinky. My only real negative is that they are not as comfortable to have around your neck as they don't rotate. But then again this is subjective depending on how fat your neck is. If you're a Apple user it doesn't come with a 3 button cord. If it's plugged in the buttons on the actual headset don't work... for the price I paid I wish it came with the 3 button version. Sold thru V-Moda for $30 comes in 3 colors orange black and grey. This unit only comes with a 1 button orange cord. I like it but I really want the 3 button unit. If you're looking for APTX this unit doesn't come with. Only the Rose Gold version has it and Best Buy didn't have it in stock but I'm an Apple iPhone user and the 7 doesn't offer support for it. The Rose Gold unit costs $20 more and might offer some future proofing. Also I'm. It to crazy about that color and the all black model looks pretty sweet but then again $20 more for a feature I could possibly use in the future is a real disappointment. But I have no way of testing to see if it really makes a difference. If you like to game you can get a $30 boom pro mic from v-Moda. Haven't bought it yet but I am most likely going to buy it along with the 3 button cord. The reviews I've read on it used as a gaming headset are positive. These aren't perfect but the versatility is pretty awesome from wired to wireless to gaming.

Premium look, feel, sound...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with these headphones. The best way that I can describe the sound quality is by saying, layered and warm. I tried quite a few premium headphones offered by Best Buy's Magnolia, and as soon as I put these on and listened to Hi-Res audio, I fell in love. I have been an audiophile since youth and I can honestly say, these headphones are a hidden gem. It's not a huge name brand, great value, and I just recently found out about them. The packaging is cool, the overall look and feel of the headphones are slick and premium. I got the "Rose Gold" because they match my Pioneer hi res audio player. I would say that it's more of a copper color though. Ok with me though because black/copper is what I want. I love that the plates can be customized as well. I am going to stop by the V-Moda website and customize these bad boys. In a world full of cookie cutter assembly line products, it feels really special to have the ability to add my own flare to the item. I think V-Moda really hit the bullseye here.

Great headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love V-moda headphones! They have their own unique look, that to me is extremely cool looking. They don’t feel or look cheap the way alot of expensive headphones look. They sound really good wireless and they get pretty loud. When wired you don’t need a amp to drive them, but they sound even better with a decent amp. I have three different dac/amplifiers and I get a different really good sound from the headphones. They seem to handle anything that you run through them. I can’t find anything negative about them, but I would recommend getting the XL earpads, unless you have small ears.

Believe the hype
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t say enough about these headphones. My 3rd pair of Bose qc35 was malfunctioning again so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try another pair. Well I really liked the Bose, but I was researching other options and after testing a few other brands I picked the V-Moda’s and I haven’t looked back. I love the sound in Bluetooth mode, I really love the sound wired and when I use them with my amplifier they’re unbelievable. The only thing I needed to do was get the bigger ear pads. I think they should come with the headphones, but I’m still happy with my choice and I think they look cool.

Excellent Headphones! Best build quality at price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.V-Moda is known for their excellent headphones, and are used professionally by many DJs. If you want higher quality components at this price at a trade-off of no active noise cancellation, you won't be disappointed. I prefer the better sound and the very good noice isolation of these headphones over the electronic gimmickry of Noice Cancellation. These cost about the same as Bose QC35 or the Sony 1000's, but the expense of noice canceling is instead put into the 50mm driver and the amazingly rugged build. If you want a solid (steel) construction headphone that will still be working 3 years from now, compare these side-by-side to Bose and Sony. And once you see how brilliantly these collapse into their much smaller and ruged case, any travelers will be sold. I travel for a living, and find these do a great job of dramatically reducing outside noice while on a plane. And they sound more like audiophile headphones if you choose to just plug them in. They sense being plugged in, and disable the battery. No processing, just pure corded analog sound - that can optionally go Bluetooth wireless. Check them out, they are in the Magnolia section, so not by the Beats and Bose display. Easy to overlook. But overlooking these would be a mistake.

THE BEST!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well constructed, well designed, and, most of all.... SOUND GREAT. They have brought me a new found love and joy to songs I've heard many times over. If you love bass heavy headphones, these may not be for you, but, if you love well balanced bass, mids and highs, and just as nice when using bluetooth.....worth every penny.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headphones are the full package. If you have the money for something more expensive and you can expend that kind of money every single year be my guest and get something more expensive, if you are a person that wants a pair of high end headphones but you are conscious of your wallet. Get this, they will last you forever. Obviously be careful, I hate when people ask me if these are good for working out, get a pair of jaybirds if you want to work out, these headphones are to commute, they can take a beating but like everything they will break under a lot of abuse. They have a ton of accessories for you to tailor your experience, like bigger pads or cables to game, even a different case if you like that. They will last a long time and even better if your battery dies which it will eventually like in every single electronic, they sound even better wired.

Love them but.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love them they sound great ear cuffs are pefect. They fit not to tignt but tight enough perfect. Sound GREAT with AUX sound very good with bluetooth. They look great and feel like you can throw them and still work. But I don't recommend throwing them. I would buy them again but based on build quality I think I would probably never have to. Love them just wish Bluetooth battey was alittle longer but AUX does not use battery to bad phones are getting rid of AUX cables. Sounds great on my ps4 using AUX and controller. The build quality makes up for the battery.

Nice, even, sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Sony 1000, Bose 35II and these v-moda's. I returned the Sony because the controls on the exterior of the ear cup were not easy to use, plus I had to keep messing with the equalization to get the sound I liked. The Bose were nice, but not 15 minutes into having them on I kept getting headaches. Also, they were a bit heavy on the bass and the highs. The v-moda's are perfect. The lows and highs are more "even", meaning they aren't too heavy in bass or highs. I have not used these on a plane so not sure how that is (they don't have noise-cancelling, just memory foam ear pads). Sometimes they do get a little warm around my ears, but these are the only headphones that haven't given me a headache.

Great Except Bluetooth vs Wired Volume Difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VOLUME ISSUE My only complaint is regarding the internal amplifier within the headphones, and only because it results in the volume levels being DRASTICALLY different between Bluetooth and wired listening. The amplifier makes it almost impossible to choose a volume that is loud enough to hear, but not too loud in a quiet environment. This is however only when using the headphones via Bluetooth. When using the headphones wired (via the supplied aux cord, which has only a play/pause button and mic), the volume functions just like a normal pair of headphones. And, like I said, the difference is drastic. I have an iPhone and using two volume bars (the quietest you can go before the headphones automatically mute themselves) via Bluetooth is the equivalent of using just under HALF the volume bars when wired. So just be aware, especially if you use other bluetooth headsets or speakers, so you don't hurt your ears. CONTENTS The charging cord is nothing out of the ordinary, but the aux cord is the nicest braided cord I have seen. The provided aux cord does include a single button (play/pause) and a mic. I have used the mic for phone calls with no sound complaints. They do come with a very nice carrying case that has removable rubber pieces to allow for venting if needed. I can throw the case into my bag and not worry about my headphones being damaged. The charging cable and aux cords have places inside the case where they fit and are out of the way. A 1/4 inch adapter is included to allow the provided aux cord to be used with a sound system, which is nice, but for me, completely unnecessary. COMFORT I have a very small head and suffer from constant headaches. These were the only over-the-ear headphones I found (in store) that did not aggravate my headache. Additionally, they were the only pair that did not hang too low (so my ears were being pushed down) even on the smallest setting. The cushioning on most headphones (and their weight) make them very uncomfortable for me to wear, as they feel like they are pushing down on my head. These headphones do not have that problem. I can comfortably wear them for hours, much longer than in-ear headphones or earbuds. They don't feel heavy or bulky while wearing. I am very particular about my comfort and these surpassed my expectations. SOUND The sound quality is phenomenal, in my opinion. I am definitely not an audiophile. The headphones do have a different sound than other (vastly cheaper) headphones I have used before, however, I think the sound is amazing. The treble/bass/midtones ratios are actually my favorite of any listening device I've ever used, including speakers. My only complaint is regarding the internal amplifier within the headphones, and only because it results in the volume levels being DRASTICALLY different between Bluetooth and wired listening. So just be aware, especially if you use other bluetooth headsets or speakers, so you don't hurt your ears. When wearing the headphones, even at higher volumes, there is virtually zero noise leakage to the outside world. STYLE/DESIGN The headphones are stylistically different from every other brand I've seen, with the hexagonal shape of the earpiece. They are also made of very durable plastic, with metal "shields" that are screwed into the outside of the headphone. The manufacturer also sells a variety of shields of different materials as well as fully customizable shields on their website. They are foldable and the part that actually folds, between the ear cushions and the head cushion, is metal, so they are definitely durable. They are made of much higher quality and durable material than the other similarly priced headphones in store. PRICE When comparing to similarly priced competitor products, these headphones definitely are of a higher quality. I am very happy with my purchase and the product itself is very high quality. I have never spent this much money on a pair of headphones before and I am honestly very pleased with my purchase. I just wish I had known about the internal amplifier before purchasing the headphones. Realistically, it would not have stopped me from purchasing them, even if I had known. It would be nice, however, considering the price, for the supplied aux cord to be the one with a volume control, which the manufacturer sells on their website, (especially since once you plug them in, you can no longer use the volume buttons on the headphones themselves), as plugging in the headphones disable ALL electronics within the headphones. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Strong Build, Great Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great headphones. The build quality is better than other headphones like the Beats & Sony headphones. They feel so solid. On ear they are a snug fit. It could lead to sweaty ears. However, the sound quality is so crisp. Listen to these with the volume turned up to here these headphones at their best. It's a clean sound. Bass has good punch as well.

Enthusiast Quality, Beats Silent Killer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best headsets I’ve tested. Incredible rugged design, metal accents and better bass than Beats. The cans have a low profile over the ears and have customizable can shields. They function like a wired headset that they added Bluetooth to. My slight gripe is that they aren’t completely noise cancelling.

Excellent. And I'm super picky with my headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched a lot before getting these. There were none on display in the store so I had to ask for them. I'm not an audiophile but I might be overly picky with my headphones. These sound excellent on Bluetooth (as far as Bluetooth can be anyways) and blocked out enough noise to where I was comfortable wearing them on the airplane. Love the fact that you can have them run wireless or turn the Bluetooth off and run them wired.

Good quality headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound and I enjoy the fact that you can personalize them. However, they are very tight and stiff so you definitely have to stretch them and break them in for them to feel comfortable. Extended use, in the beginning, will lead to discomfort.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had owned the V-Moda M-100s, but I needed something wireless. I already loved the M-100s so I got these which are basically the same with wireless capabilities. They sound great wired and the Bluetooth quality is better than expected. They are also a good looking pair of headphones that aren't to bulky.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.V Mods are one of the best headphones.
