I wanted a great quality headphone and I did not want to deal with rechargeable models. These have great build quality, sturdy material, great sound, and can fold into a much smaller package. Excellent sound quality all the time and no need to worry about keeping them charged on long trips.

I love this headphones! The sound is amazing. You can get from lows to highs and its just perfect.

I purchased these headphones a little over a month ago, and they are by far the best headphones I've purchased. The build quality is the number one thing about these, and most importantly, V-Moda sells replacement parts (I even purchased a boom mic for these from their website also so that they can double as a gaming headset). The cable is braided and durable, the band is flexible, and the sound quality is great. I tested these in-store at the Magnolia Theater section and there were a pair of Sony headphones that sounded slightly clearer than the M-100s, but they were about $100 more than these. Also, they're customizable (the plate on the earcup can be exchanged with a variety of plates from their website). What really made me buy these was the price; at the time, they were on sale for $248, but I got them for $220 after price matching. These sound great AND look great.

I researched a new set of headphones for months and decided on these before I'd ever even tried a pair on. Luckily I was able to find a physical pair to try out and, 10 seconds after pumping some music through them, I was sold. These sound amazing.. even moreso if you're a bass-head or enjoy making listening to your music more "fun." The sound is very accurate and presents the broadest range of tonality I've ever hear from a set of headphones. What's even better is that they aren't gigantic cans. They are a very reasonable (almost smallish) size for the sound and bass they produce. Which, coupled with they folding design and provided case, makes them very portable. The only minor nick at all to my ratings is comfort and that is only because I wear these for 4-5 hours at a time and I haven't quite broken them in yet so the overall pressure exerted on my head is noticeable after 3 or 4 hours. The padding on the cups is very soft and they almost cover my entire ear making them very comfortable and providing excellent passive noise reduction. Swappable cords (with plenty of length) are an excellent feature as is the ability to buy custom plates for anyone who likes a personalized look. Are they pricey? Somewhat given other options that are out there BUT, try them on and hear for yourself. I can't recommend these incredible headphones enough.. if you're on the fence.. go for it!

These are by far the best value headphones for someone that is looking for a 150-400 dollar pair of headphones. The sound is amazing, the build quality is amazing. Only gripe is the pads are too small! You really have to get the XL pads (an extra $25) in order for them to be very comfortable.

Purchased as a birthday gift for my son. He loves them.

Bought these headphones 4 years ago, the sound quality is the best I have ever heard from any headphones, they have been my go to for everything, recenetly had to go to bestbuy and replace them since one of the screws went loose and it was a pain in the rear to find the exact measurement screw, instead I had remembered that I still had my warranty and went in the store and exchange them for a new pair for no cost, a huge plus to BestBuy for this, now I am enjoying my v-moda's once again, get these bad boys, you wont be disappointing in them.

This is my son's second set of V-Moda headphones--a step up from last Christmas' gift. He absolutely loves them. Excellend design and sound quality.

The headset was comfortable but not good for extended use if you have a larger head. This pinched my head to tightly and would have given a head ache. For a smaller head, the sound quality was ok.

The sound quality is great for all music genres but especially so with rock music. It's brought new life/dimension to music that I've listened to millions of times before and I can't wait to relisten to my favorite music. The headphones lose a star because of the discomfort with the stock earpads. My ears are probably larger than average but I felt they were too small and shallow. I also had to stretch them over the box it came in to ease the clamp force. The XL earpads that I had to buy separately made the difference between keeping and returning the headset. Yes, despite the unbeatable sound, it was painful until I got the XL earpads.

I have mixed feelings on these. I bought these when they were on sale for $144, and for that price, I don't think you can beat these, but for the list price ($249), you might be better off looking at other options, even if they're a little more expensive. I don't love the looks of these. They're a bit uncomfortable (admittedly, I have a huge head). The sound a bit bass heavy and constricted in the mids and high frequencies. On the upside, I love how the fold down and they're made really well.
