I cnt even describe how excited I became watching this movie! For me its WAY better then BLADE RUNNER! This is a great story with amazing characters and even better CGI visuals! LOVE the cast too! I felt this was a fast paced movie that kept me entertained and enthralled the entire time! The bonus material is outstanding too! I missed this in the theatres but im THRILLEd to have this on blu ray! Great movie and a keeper for sure!

Ehhh, only as you can simply watch it and do not need to expend energy reading it (and turning pages). Critics may have bashed it, and it was mostly a box office bust, yet the special effects are stunning. If you like mindless entertainment as much as I, you will have fun with this.

I enjoyed the story in this movie more the third or fourth time. Not sure why. Visually...it is worth a watch just for this, even if you don’t like the story, in my opinion. Over all, not an amazing movie but fun and a cool adventure sporting good looks.

The story line was not the greatest but special effects were pretty awesome.

This movie is based on a French cartoon strip, so I had never heard of it, but I took a chance, and I am glad that I did. The protagonists, Valerian and Laureline, are young and attractive, the plot has twists, and the special effects are wonderful. The DVD also includes a behind-the-scenes description of the casting, stunt work, and special effects.

This movie just didn't seem to make a theatrical impact. Maybe people didn't connect to the lead actors?? However, it is an outstanding movie, the effects alone are well worth purchasing this disc. I found it to be pretty clever and a well produced movie. Tale advantage of a low price on this flick and pop some corn and escape for a couple of hours.

Most science fiction movies fall into a couple categories.. Star Trek, Star Wars, Dystopian Earth Hellhole, Invasion of earth, Bug eyed monster-Horror... Valerian is none of these while containing elements of each. A broad canvas, mystery, gorgeous imagery, and an interesting story. Real old tyme classic sci fi novel goodness. And it's a really fun ride.

I watched this movie on the plane and thought it was hilarious. When it went on sale for $3.99 on Black Friday, I knew I had to get it. Is it worth more than $4? Probably but I was glad to get it cheap.

Was a fun watch. Acting is on the low side with the two main characters but the world they are in is fun to see.

Solid movie with good visuals and good surround sound but the movie could be better

Set deep in the future, a couple of "youthful" looking special agents are sent on a mission to a large metropolis to preserve law and order. Excellent special effects and some neat looking creatures.

This movie really surprised me. It was filled with action, adventure and suspense. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. One of the best si-fi sleepers since The 5th Element. You are going to love the characters so prepare to be surprised. I have shown this film to many of my friends and none were disappointed.

This film got terrible reviews but it wasn't all that bad,pure eye candy like the Fifth Element.....Dolby Vision will blow you away and the sound is intense pure escapism at its best.

Cool effects with a mediocre story. The main character Valerian is unlikeable.

While I don't have a lot of familiarity with the source material, I had read that Valerian and it's comics were similar if not an inspiration to what would become George Lucas's original Star Wars. But from what I've seen this 2017 adaptation of the series wasn't widely well received. Watching the movie, the lead protagonist's performance falls fairly flat, with the actors displaying little to no emotion. The same can be said of Star Wars' original trilogy. Yet with Valerian, this is the only film we have in its universe and while the worlds are unique and interesting, the characters don't give us reason to care for what is being offered. As far as the presentation, the movie looks and sounds great and is a movie to test any home theater setup. But the mediocre characters we are presented with will leave most not wanting to revisit this movie more than once.

This fast paced thriller shows remarkable scenes and an interesting plot. Though parts could have been developed more, for a story in just one movie, it was well done. A sequel would be welcome.

Somewhat terrible script and acting, but the visuals are stunning in 4K. You could do worse if you're looking for a family movie in the sci-fi/fantasy realm in the vein of The Fifth Element.

This movie was a lot better than what the critics said! Very colorful and vibrant! Great sci-fi adventure with a feel of a few other movies thrown in. The steel book is very sleek and looks great on display. It was only a few dollars more than the Blu-ray so it was well worth it!

I was hoping for a movie that entertained similarly to the Fifth Element. The main character just isn't that engaging. The visuals are great, but the story is not.

I got this movie on the Black Friday weekend for 3.99. When I got around to watching I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Loved the action & special effects.
