If the writing were better I’d give this 5 stars, but it gets 4 stars on its 4K rendering alone. Stellar, crisp, crystal clear picture. It’s really a visual treat to watch.

I don't get the so-so and bad reviews on this flick. It is very creative, the characters are great. Rhianna stole the show in her dance number. Every time I watch the movie, I glean additional details about the plot. Highly recommend. Special effects are fantastic.

wasnt a bad movie but wasnt great either. its an alright movie was hoping it would of blown me away but is watchable and not a sleeper like some movies out there.

Great movie, especially if you like wild rides like the 5th Element! The 4K treatment was really crisp, but you can tell it’s an upscale and not originally shot using HDR capability. I think it’s still worth owning in this format and goes on sale pretty often here at Best Buy. The only real issue I had was with redeeming the digital copy. Lions Gate films digital redemption site is really bad and the code included didn’t work properly. They acknowledged this when I sent a support message but required a lot of work on my end to prove purchase before they would issue a new code. After about a dozen emails back and forth and sending as many images of the UPC, discs, and package they finally gave me a working code for VUDU, that was for a HD digital copy, and not the 4K HDR digital copy. That’s NOT the fault of Best Buy as the code was not expired when purchased and was issued by Lions Gate. It’s an issue with any of that studio’s movies right now and their sub par customer service.

The movie is good, lots of fun and some nice Easter eggs for the comics fan. I am not convinced by the first 2 main roles cast. The steelbook is amazing though.

Even though the main characters chemistry didn't fly, the rest of the picture wasn't just ILM SFX and had many interesting concepts adding to the story.

Similar to Avatar, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets has an abundance of ASTONISHING colors, that are so bright and vibrant. The visual effects are really good, clear and defined. I think this movie has potential to have it’s own franchise.

The special effects push this movie to the next level. Along with the acting, directing and writing this movie takes you on roller coaster ride.

Valerian is a good action film with new actors. The story development has good depth of story line and character development. Excellent variety for numerous Sci-Fi settings and inventions to satisfy the Sci-Fi geek in all of us.

I'll admit, this movie is not a favorite but it is a great fun and entertaining film. The visuals and costume designs are worth the purchase price.

If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing this yet, I highly recommend it! It truly IS a feast for the eyes, as it has great effects, plus so many fascinating creatures! Aside from that, just a great movie if u love Sci-Fi! =)

This has some great action and depth. The 4K picture quality is clean and crisp. HDR was great, and the film is a feast for the eyes.

Visually One Of The Most Impressive Films You’ll Ever See! The Two Leads Are Good, But Script Wise I Think Is Why They Don’t Succeed As Well As They Should. Story Works, Some Characters However Are Flat & The Pacing At Times Is A Bit Muddy. However, If You’re A Fan Of Luc Besson’s Previous Effort Such As The Cult Classic The 5th Element, You Might Enjoy This Just As Much! It Does Have It’s Moments & For Any Sci-Fi Fan It’s A Must See!

While not a great film, it tells an offbeat, interesting tale. The fx are great; the narrative off kilter, and the tone a little freaky.

This movie is a beautifully done space movie just as the Fifth Element was. The director did just as an amazing job with this as well. The visuals costumes and feel of the movie is just as artful as it is beautiful

The movie is subpar at best, but the visual quality and audio mix is outstanding. If you're really into sci-fi and high quality picture this may be one to add to your 4k collection for sure. The opening animated scenes are amazing.

Though it may not have a meandering, mystery themed plot, this sci-fi film has a good flow in the storyline. The actors, especially Rihanna, were superb in their respective roles. I recommend the film as a good one to see.

One of my favorites of all time, graphics were great, developed the characters very well, good story line, strong and brave and caring lead characters. good pace movie. Movie was so good i ended up getting the 4k too.
