This is a a strategy game that allows you to take direct control of a unit and position them on the map. Plays like a 3rd person game but with strategy implemented and its really an enjoyable game. I love the unique art style that the game has and the story from what I've played so far is really good. I recommend checking out some gameplay footage to get an idea of how it plays if your on the fence about this one. Really an enjoyable game that many should check out.

If you love SRPGs, this game is a no brainer. Graphics -- 5/5 Cel-shaded graphics that are just stunning. In-game graphics and cutscenes just pop off the screen. I've never seen hand drawn graphics done any better. Sound -- 5/5 Bullets whiz overhead. Tanks rumble. Every sound adds to the immersion of the game. Controls -- 4/5 It's very confusing as to what comprises a move at the beginning but you'll be a master after a couple missions. The game rarely feels cheap because of the controls but you will blame them when you can't finish a mission. Fun Factor -- 5/5 Real time gameplay and true strategy RPG elements put this game at the top of a rather small heap. Overall -- 5/5 If you're a fan of the Final Fantasy Tactics games or Jeanne d'Arc, you will be at home with Valkyria Chronicles. The remastered version adds trophies but keeps the excellent strategic gameplay we fell I love with when the original came out.

Very fun tactical RPG. Very nice art style. Definitely worth the price.

This game really deserves a 6 out of 5 but I can't give it that. This game has incredible graphics, gameplay, soundtrack, characters and story. I love the story in this game. This is one of my all time favorite games. I own it on the ps3 and I still got this one. It was still a must have game for me. Now it's in 60 fps and 1080p. Although the cutscenes are still 30 fps and 720p which is a bummer. Would have been a 7 out of 5 if those were updated too. Still, get this game. It is one of the best. Also, the soundtrack is done by the same guy who does Final Fantasy Tactics, another one of my favorite SRPGS. That is win right there.

A truly masterful game from the last generation. Excellent gameplay, graphics, music, and even story. I only hope more people play it this time.

One of the best rts rpg i've ever played . Played it on ps3 when it came out ,lost my copy awhile back so i was happy to hear it was being remastered for ps4 1080p 60fps! Although you don't really need the 60 fps for this kind of game ,it's still nice to have. The game play still holds up really well , and the story was even better than i remembered. Great game, buy it!

This is a very good game, easily the best from Sega in a long time. The art in this game is beautiful and very unique. It plays like a combination rpg, strategy, and third person shooter.

I purchased this game for the PS3 and I just has to repurchase for the PS4. This game is that good. Great turn based strategy game with a great story.

A PS3 classic revived for the PS4. Other than some graphical and technical upgrades, it's the same instant classic as before, and looks just as good as ever. Comes with all the DLC from the previous game bundled with the disc too! If you're new to the series, it's a unique blend of turn based strategy with some light 3rd person shooter elements in it. A must have for PS4 owners!

I already played and finished the original on the PS3 when it came out. I loved the original on the PS3: from the fresh art-style to the unique gameplay. This remastered version contains enough enhancements (IMO) that I decided to pick this up: slight graphical improvements, 60 fps, trophies and all DLCs. And then there is the steelbook :)

I purchased this game for two reasons; trophies and now available on PS4. I really wished for the original version to feature trophies but it never got an update. The new PS4 version looks even better and cleaner than the PS3 version so if you enjoy interesting and strategic war set within anime style setting than pick this up!

This is a great game overall. The story is good, gameplay is great. If you enjoy strategy then you should enjoy this. Graphics are good for the age of the game. It also includes all of the DLC which is a nice bonus.

Valkyria Chronicles remains as one of my favorite games ever released on PS3. The remaster of this gem now only gets better with improved textures, 1080p visuals, and 60fps. Not to mention all the previously released DLC is included for free. If you're a fan of SRPGs, at $30 there is no reason NOT to try this out.

This game is the PS4 version of the original PS3 release of this game with DLC content included. I liked this game then and I like the game now, but I see little reason for people who have PS3 or the PC version to buy this game. Anyone who has not played this game should definitely buy it.

This game was originally released for ps3 but went under the radar and became popular with a few hardcore fans. The ps4 release thanks to those fans. The remake on ps4 has cool new features like better graphics and a better frame rate. If you like strategy games this is a game for you.

I first played this game 8 years ago on the PS3, it's still just as incredible. I tell all my friends who play Fire Emblem to give this game a shot, although it's a bit different it has a similar feel and engaging gameplay to make for a worthwhile experience.

One of my all time favorite games from the last console generation comes back on the PS4 and delivers the same experience from then. Highly recommend this for those that loved it on the PS3 or for newcomers looking for a good strategy rpg with awesome art.
