An amazing re-boot of one of the greatest anime ever.

What can you say about a classic anime on blu-ray other than finally! The conversion is great and the colors look right. There are no special inserts with this version but it is still worth the money. I am filling out my anime collection with classics like this one as I find them, especially when they are on Deal of the Day or on a regular sale at Best Buy.

I jumped on this when I saw it was coming out on blu-ray. I have an old DVD copy of the film so I was really excited at the idea of watching Vampire Hunter D in HD. I can say that the picture is definitely remastered and the audio is fantastic considering the original film came out 30 years ago. I guess I was expecting an HD picture is all. For any who may have the same expectation, know that the film is 4x3 Pan&Scan, so you will have black bars on the side of your picture. That is the only reason this does not get 5 stars. This is otherwise great whether you watch in English or Japanese. Highly recommended to any and all anime fans!

This is classic Anime at its best! Vampire Hunter D is one of the best 80s Anime ever. If it were made today no one could tell the difference. Compelling story and characters in a super creative and fascinating world fueled by top notch art and animation. Vampire Hunter D is one of the best Anime ever!

Been a long time since I've seen it, I remember it having a good story.

I remember seeing this movie when I was younger and it was good then and even better to me now honestly! The picture and sound is WAY better then what it once was (VHS). The storyline is pretty cool and has a very strong storyline. Worth checking out if you’re into horror anime that is about vampires.

This film is what got me started on my journey into Anime a long long time ago back when it first aired on Toonami. If you're an anime fan, it's a must watch as it's inspired so many films after.

This was one of the first anime movies I had ever scene. Because of this my love for Anime has continually grown. We need to get more classics like this one for our future generations. Can't buy it in stores which really annoyed me

Must have classic anime for anyone collection. It’s a gothic piece of work that take place in a dark and distant future. Vampires are threaten by extinction when they being hunted by vampire hunters.

The remastered transfer to Blu-Ray HD is very good. The picture and sound are great. I first saw this on VHS and the quality is superb on Blu-Ray. Now to find Blood Lust Blu-Ray for a good price.

This movie was good I would say vampire Hunter de bloodlust is way better than this but this movie is more of a classic still very good I give it 2 1/2 thumbs up

This is one of the first anime movies I have ever seen, therefore it has sentimental value for me. To have it released on Blu-ray with better picture and sound is outstanding. I had to add it to my collection.

The Bluray transfer seems really good. My first time seeing this movie, as it was made in the 80s, but the creativeness of the story is timeless and not rivaled.

If your an anime fan and havent seen Vampire Hunter D yet, what are you waiting for? Its an old anime but so worth it. Part 2 is great as well FYI.

Paid $4 for this classic. Couldn’t pass it up. Watched this as a kid and rewatched just recently.

A dark and moody anime movie with stellar animation and an old time charm since it was made in the mid 80's. Definitely an awesome movie for fans of anime or the horror-genre

This is a must watch for any anime fan. It is a classic anime from the 80's. You must be able to enjoy older animation but other than that its a great time.

If you watched the movie on youtube because you were not able to find the original then rejoice. The blueray edition is amazing and crispy clear. A movie such as this is a must own.
