This movie was great, my wife and I loved it! We can't figure out why so many people dissed it. We've seen Open Your Eyes, the one everybody says is better, and we didn't like it. The acting, cinamatography, and over all storyline was much better in Vanilla Sky. If you haven't seen either one, just watch this one. Don't waste your time with Open Your Eyes. This film is very intriguing and thought provoking. In fact, my wife and I had to watch it twice to fully understand everything. Fantastic movie, I highly recommend it! Also, some other similar films that make you think are 12 Monkeys, The Jacket, and Lost Highway.

This Mid Twisting Classic is Incredible, I had to watch this movie Several Times before i full under stood what was happening. It is a very detailed mind twister! A must see for everyone that Likes a movie that makes sense only at the very end.

I saw "Abre Los Ojos" (Open Your Eyes) first and loved it. It's a combination of thrill, fear, romance, hate, and wonder all in one. "Vanilla Sky" the Hollywood remake surely would fall short of the greatness of this original. Sure, the original IS in Spanish, but I recommend watching it with the subtitles instead of watching this film. The only thing better about this film was the soundtrack. Sometimes a remake can be just as good as the original (of a different language) and it depends on which movie you saw first... ex: Ringu vs. The Ring. However, for this case, I feel no matter what the original was way better. As an individual movie, this still had its thought-provoking numbness. But I say, if you can find the original... get that... because nothing can beat the feeling you will get with that movie. My two cents.

VANILLA SKY IS A THOUGHT PROVOKING FILM. WHILE WATCHING IT, I WAS ALWAYS TRYING TO PUT MYSELF IN TOM CRUISES' PLACE. MAY HAVE TO WATCH IT TWICE. PAY ATTENTION, AND IT WILL MAKE SENSE.

I'm not a big fan of this movie. It did nothing to get me interested in it.

'Vanilla Sky' is a terrible remake, with a great cast, of the Spanish film titled 'Open Your Eyes.' See the original instead. Widescreen.
