This changes everything. I can record activity in front of me and behind me. These cameras also gave a wider field of you then my review mirror does.

I bought this primarily for the full time rearview feature and I'm disappointed. Yes, the feature is there and does work as advertised but as another reviewer pointed out, it's virtually useless at night due to lens flare from headlights. additionally, the highly reflective surface is problematic in bright sunlight or when the sun as at certain angles. I had to turn off the crash detect feature because every time I hit a pothole or speedbump or even brakes too fast it was assuming I was in a wreck - even after changing the sensitivity. It's also concerning that this product is not even shown on the Vantop website. If you lose the manual, you're SOL to replace it. I also expected better detail from the videos considering the high recording resolution. It's ok but 4k just slightly blurry is still just slightly blurry. I do like that due to the wide viewing angle, it has all but eliminated by pickup's blind spots and in good lighting conditions, it does provide me with the basic rearview I need. These are the only reasons I'm giving better than a 1 star rating.

Well, it came with complicated and partial truths about how the product works. The instructions are inconsistent with the cameras specs. The rear cam is optional in whether you mount it upside down or right side up...sadly, it doesn't matter...it never changes the view from right side to upside down. So I get dizzy looking at a perverted view or the rear.

Absolutely fantastic camera for front and rear. Super clear, easy to get acclimated with. Will be purchasing for our other vehicle as well.

The idea for this product is amazing. The execution however leaves a lot to be desired. I bought half a dozen SD cards to use with this device and I got absolutely the fastest recording card on the market and the product still tells me that it's a slow reading card and it stops recording all the time. Also the speaker is awful. Play back audio is grossly distorted. Finally in order to retrieve any information off the SD card you have to go through a very cumbersome process of removing the SD card and transferring everything to whatever computer or device you want to save the information on. It would be great if the data could upload from the unit itself through Wi-Fi connection.

This dash cam is perfect for both usinging it as a recording camera and back up camera.
