I have been listening to Trivium for a long time and I have never really hated any of their albums (I know many disliked "The Crusade" so much they stopped listening to them). Still, the albums have never really blown me away too much since the likes of "Ember to Inferno", "Ascendancy" and "Anthem" and this one is not much an exception.
The sound to this album is still not as hard as their original three that truly launched their careers, but it is by no means a bad one because of that. I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5 rather than just 3, but I do not see an option to do that.
Either way, despite this, one thing I have always liked about Trivium is their lyrics (which is why the sound of "The Crusade" did not bother me all that much) and I do really like the lyrics to most of the songs in this album.
That being said, rack 12 is undoubtedly the best in my mind (I do believe you have to get the special edition for that though) and the album overall is not a bad buy for a Trivium fan, but that's just one long time fan's opinion and may not weigh that much in the broad scheme of things.

Trivium wasn't really on my radar until this album. They brought the metal in a really aggressive way and this album flat rocks

Vengeance Falls is the 6th studio CD by the band Trivium and I must say it is a great CD to listen to from start to finish and shows how the band can change and play around with their style from some of their other works like Ascendancy, Shogun, & their last CD before this one called In Waves. Any fan of Hard Rock, Metal, Metalcore and all of the other different genres are in for a shock if you are a fan of Trivium like myself that shows they can still put a CD out compared to their older works and experiment on the music and lyrics but still blow you away with their songs meanings, riffs, signing, and all of the above and make you wanting to hear their next work. Also if they come to your town/city while they are on tour they are a band you do not want to miss out watching and hearing them live!

Overall this album is musically less complex then In Waves and Shogun. But it does take the vocals in a more traditional Metal direction. Which I am happy about. Highlights include Strife, and No Hope for The Human Race.

An awesome product at a reasonable price. If you are a U2 fan then you know that one cannot go wrong purchasing any of their products. This band is a class act who always delivers. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, Vengeance Falls delivers. A lot of people online said that this was too soon, but to me, it's a perfect follow-up to In Waves.
