Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock was perfect in this movie. And the banter between himself and Venom was great. It had lots of action and funny moments. The CGI was fantastic. Can't wait to see more from Venom. Hopefully Tom will continue in the role. Don't miss it.

Overall the movie is good. Nothing to crazy or out there, but there are a few story progression issues. Nothing that would take one out of the movie but still a little odd. If you are a hardcore Spider-Man fan this may not be the movie for you. They do take liberties with the symbiote storyline. They mix a few different storylines with some made up parts. The most disappointing part is that Spidey never shows up or is even mentioned. It seems as if Spidey is not even in this universe and the fact that they still use Eddy Brock is odd. They have no Peter Parker so the strife between Peter/Spidey and Eddy/Venom is not present and it kills a lot of what made the Spidey/Venom rivalry so strong and intriguing. If you are new to Spider-Man or just are not that big into the comics, it is a good movie. But I would skip if you are a fan of Venom and Spider-Man.

I was nervous at first because I heard so many people trashing this movie. But I loved it and so did my baby. There's also a lot of extra footage, and features with the film as well so I think it was worth it. But that might not be important to some people.

I skipped watching this in theaters because I listened to the critics who said the movie wasn't that great.I wish I wish I would have tuned out the critics because this turned out to be a good movie.The action sequences were great and the story held up pretty good.Looking forward to the sequel.

I love this movie. I can watch it over and over and not get sick of it. The effects are outstanding! Great actors, great music, great plot. They also did a good job at sticking as close to the comics while giving Venom his own role in his own film.

Marvel keeps cranking out hit movies and this one is no exception. Venom fans (and even Spider-Man fans) should go out and add this to their DVD/Blu-Ray collection. Tom Hardy shines as both Eddie Brock and his anti-hero alter ego, Venom. Definite must-own.

At first I thought Venom would suck because Sony really bombed with Topher Grace as Venom in Spiderman 3, but thankfully they redeemed themselves with this one. This is an amazing job with the character, and the after credits scene left so much excitement!

Venom is not an easy character to portray on film, but Tom Hardy does a good job bringing it to the silver screen. The story is tight. The action is top notch. It's another great addition to the Marvel pantheon. A must have for any fan.

With Venom we have another great entry into the Marvel universe. Good story and very nice visual effects. Story takes a small liberty from the comics for the Venom costume for continuity which is addressed in the 'extra features'. Bring on the next one!

Oh my god. When people told me I was going to love this movie, I didn’t believe them. When I say it’s action packed and hilarious, that’s a understatement. I truly recommend this movie to all who love comics made into movies. It’s better than Spider-Man

I liked this movie even though they change the main character (Eddie Brock), Venom and the setting. Venom is one of Spiderman's nemesis, but this film doesn't appear connected to the Spiderman universe in any way (other than a hint of a possible sequel with another villain in the Spiderman universe).

been waiting for years & finally is a properly done Venom character & movie. first run was a let down but this wasnt. Tom Hardy was excellent & cant wait to see him do the role once again in the future. solid looking steelbook as well. great cover art.

I was a little disappointed when my husband brought this movie home. But when I watched it I changed my tune! I just thought it was an awesome movie. It has the monster thing going on with just enough humor to make it an excellent movie!

This movie is great..! Took my boys to see it in theaters and it was pretty entertaining. It took on a different twist to Venom’s origins if your a fan of the character, but other than that it was funny and a good movie. Definitely recommend watching..

Absolutely a fantastic movie, I have all of Venom's appearances in Marvel comics so I had a good foundation on the character, Tom Hardy was AWESOME in this movie, this was better than all the Spider Man movies, easy to watch multiple times (guilty).

Ok this was a good movie good job sony now the thing that u have a problem with venom is connected to spiderman thats why the symbiote has the same powers as spiderman cause he copied them from him i really have a problem with that but hey what can you do at least we got to see venom which was awesome

If you’re into the Marvel Cinematic Movie experience; then this is a good pickup. It’s not associated with any of the other Marvel movies (Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man etc.), so you can watch it and know what’s going on. Wish that there was a bit more action, but still very good nonetheless.
