I own all of the MCU movies, and just about every superhero film of note by Fox, Sony, and Warner Bros. Venom tries to take the Marvel road and instill some humor into this character. I applaud Sony for trying, but IMO, Venom should be on the darker side. This should be an R rated movie for that reason. Most people seem to like the movie, so it’s just my opinion. But I find it hokey throughout.
