'Venom' is not a horrible film. It just does not fit in when compared to other superhero films that have been released recently. It is more reminiscent of films like 'Daredevil' and 'Blade: Trinity'. That might in and of itself sound harsh, but it's true. Yes, Tom Hardy portrays both Eddie Brock and Venom in a better light than Eric Foreman did in 'Spider-Man 3', but improving on a previous actor's work does not necessarily guarantee a fantastic portrayal. The dialogue is often cheesy. The CGI could be a lot better, especially in the final act. Hardy makes weird sounds whenever he can. The special features included with this film are few, but they make the film worth the $9.99 I paid for it. I truly miss the days where most films came with commentary from the cast and crew. This film is far from the "poop in the wind" that people have accused it of being. If you're looking to watch a superhero film that does not require much thought going into the viewing, this is the right film to watch. If you're looking for something with better acting and more substance, try 'Iron Man' and work your way through the MCU!

Venom is not a great movie by any means, but as far as superhero movies go, it's pretty darn fun. We've been spoiled by the run of Marvel movies surrounding the Avengers and their solo efforts, and even though Venom falls very short of being that, it never really attempt to be. That's not what Venom wants. Consider it closer to Deadpool in tone and style, but not as good. Overall a solid, fun, funny, B-movie.

I gave this four stars because while I love the movie, it's not for everyone. Hardy's performance is a hoot and the Venom symbiote is comics-perfect, but the story is all over the place and ends in a pretty bog-standard finale. Still, as a 90s comics kid I love the symbiotes and everything about them so I had a great time, and this is a great home video release of the movie with a ton of special features.

Very fun movie! Even more so if you’re a fan of Tom Hardy, Venom, Marvel, superhero movies, and/or action movies! Must see for all fans!

THis move is making history!. This is THEE best and ONLY vemon we all love because it is exactly how venom is Venom. Plus the special effects are A++++= I mean holy smokes vemon looks like a real douche bagged and then another layer of doucery i've never seen before. Definitely a better version of a non swinging action hero.

Love the movie despite what the critics say. Not the best movie but very entertaining, seen it 3 times so far. Tom hardy committed to his every role as always and took it to another level here. Steelbook popart for front and back covers are cool. Only complaint is there's no artwork inside the case, otherwise would've been perfect.

I had heard good and bad reviews for this movie. So I put off seeing it for the longest time. I wanted to see for myself if it was worth a look. I liked it better than I thought. A kind of mix with horror and comic super-villain. More horror than the latter, different, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Give it a chance, It will win you over. The 4K presentation is outstanding as usual.

Great movie! Funny, intense action. And Tom Hardy is an all-around great actor. The disc works just fine with no problems.

I never really read the comics except for a few issues of Spider-Man in which he was introduced so I came to this with no expectations. A refreshing addition to the MCU, with no apparent tie-ins to the Infinity War or other characters so it's more self contained. Tom Hardy is hilarious at times and does a splendid job. He even did Venom's voice (with some electronic manipulation). Cool!

The basic movie is good especially if you like Venom. I wish it were longer. Even though it is listed as 1hr 52 min, the main story (movie) ends in 1 1/2 hours followed by a short set of credits and then an epilog and then the final long credits. Again the movie would be better with a longer more involved story. Movies seem best when they have about 2 hours or more to develop a story .

I could say a lot about this film and not just because I've watched it 5 times, but I'm afraid I might spoil it for those who may not have seen it yet, so I will say this about the movie it was awesome!. It had a great storyline, great special effects, great action sequences and just simply fun and entertaining.

I enjoyed this movie very much. It has the right touch of darkness and light. Tom Hardy is excellent as the crusading reporter and Symbiotic superhero Venom. Michelle Williams is equally superb as his ex-girlfriend and confidant. Well written, produced and directed. This was a totally enjoyable experience at the movies.

Saw this opening day and couldn't wait for the DVD to come out. The story is different than the comic book but Marvel always manages to keep close to its origins/characters. Though its different, the story still makes sense and the character is not lost due to the changes. Tom Hardy is a great actor and makes it believable even with all the CGI. Have some popcorn and enjoy the movie.

The beginning of the movie could have explained why they were in outer space to begin with but the rest of the movie was awesome with great chase scenes as well as graphic's. Could have explained the alien species intent and structure better but totally awesome. Watched it several times already. Highly Recommend.

Fast delivery, I shop at best buy more then amazon now. Best buy always gets to me faster for no subscription.

Venom was your typical action movie. The story line was relatively simple as many films of this type are but it was extremely entertaining as far as I'm concerned. Visually speaking I would say it was average, nothing spectacular, but fun to watch nonetheless. So overall It was good and I'd probably watch it again.

Tom Hardy's New York accent sounds like an Italian goombah, and Michelle Williams' effort come across like Betty Boop. As a result they both sound too uneducated to be believable as TV news reporters. That said, the story, the humor and the outrageous special effects make for great wicked fun. When was the last time you saw a superhero who feeds off of live human brains?

I won't lie, at first I refused to give this movie any of my time. I was angry Spider-Man wasn't going to be involved in this story, so I didn't see it in theaters. Then I saw it on sale and decided to give it a watch. The movie is actually pretty good! It's a fun and entertaining movie! Looks great in 4k, which is definitely how this movie should be watched!

I like a physical copy we committed to Blu-ray dvd disks and would appreciate them in store still.

Bought this blind with the knowledge that reviews were generally positive, but that Sony jumped through many hoops in order to write Spider-Man out of the Venom backstory. I thought it was a bit of mindless escapism with a fun, action-packed ending. However, not much to it after thinking on it for a while. Disc itself is great technically, but a little light on features.
