While not into very much of comic book superheroes, gotta say this was a fun movie! Villainous superhero’s are where it’s at!! Deadpool loved it DP2 was fun too this falls right in with those in the aspect of not being a real kiddie superhero like Spider-Man or Batman those I’ve never liked.

The movie was pretty good. Not great, but it does have it's entertainment value. If you're looking for this movie to follow the comics...then you will be disappointed. But if you're looking for a great looking and entertaining movie, then I do recommend!!! The steelbook cover looks absolutely awesome!!!

Venom is such an awesome film! The creativity of this story and its visuals (special effects) coupled with the most amazing sound engineering is perfectly suited for 4K UHD. And, Best Buy’s SteelBook limited edition provides an exceptionally attractive and solidly built casing to house such a great film.

Enjoyed watching Venom at the movie theater. As any superhero/comic book movie adaption, you have to open to the concept of superhero and villains. Not all movies need to be taken seriously and Venom takes note. Great adaption of a well known villain/antihero from the Spider-Man comics!

For those who appreciate the historically accurate films, this is not your cup of tea. But it's just a Marvel movie and great! Have fun with it, it's Tom Hardy as Venom, a would-be superhero that's as flawed as any other regular human. Great special effects that serve the story and a fun thrill ride...

Yes, going in be well aware this is not the traditional venom origin story. For whatever reasons they chose to alter his origin completely. All that being said, the movie was enjoyable and Tom Hardy does a good job of entertaining. The effects were decent through most of the film, the final battle left a little to be desired but otherwise a decent action flick.

Venom is by far the darkest of the Marvel movies and it pays off. It's got a good story, doesn't take itself too seriously, has a good sense of humor, and establishes a new Marvel hero pair. But the most important reason for reading the review: the transfer was clear and sharp. Good investment for 4k.

Tom Hardy was much better than expected in this role. Hard to now imagine any other actor pulling off the roll of Venom, especially after the horrendous Spider-Man 3. Put all your expectations and judgements aside. If you're looking for simple popcorn fun entertainment, this movie will not disappoint.

I was one of the many who was looking forward to this movie. It isn't the greatest movie, but it is still very enjoyable. Funnier than it should be, and a little deeper than the critics say it is. The villain at the end is a little over the top, but it still gets the job done. Still weird how they did this without Spiderman, but they get points for originality.

Originally saw this in theaters with moderate expectations, because it is a Sony Marvel movie, and we know how those go. But I really enjoyed it, Tom Hardy is Tom Hardy and plays Eddie Brock very well and the Venom scenes are great! If you find this on sale like I did I highly recommend it!

This version of Venom is much better than the one from Spider-Man 3 and I think Tom Hardy did a good job for the role. My only gripe is whenever they attempt to do a dual character conversation is where it just never feels right. Overall, I find the movie entertaining and can't wait for a sequel with either Spider-Man or the Punisher in a team-up.

Fabulous movie. Don't know who could have played Eddie Brock any better than Tom Hardy. Movie had a little of everything: fun, sarcasms, comedy.... to action,drama, and a thriller. Had me on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. CGI was awesome. This was perfect in all ways for an intro to Venom

I liked this movie quite a bit. It went in a different direction than I thought it would, but it was still a fun ride with a lot of humor injected into it. I only wish they had invested more time into exploring the torment of Eddie Brock’s character struggling to come to terms with this new creature influencing his mind. The steelbook case was very cool, too.

Fun romp, on an anti hero, MCU, character. Tom Hardy is the perfect hapless foil for Venom. No, spoilers, but plenty of villains on the dinner plate...Can't wait for a matchup with Spiderman...It's coming...Did not get 5 stars for some of the slower elements and standard baddie, but for fun, action, and really good CGI,I gave it 4 stars...

Disappointed only because I grew up with venom being one of my favorite villains. And Tom Hardy I loved as venom. But but the withdrawal of Spider-Man belt for a longing. They leave it open to other movies where they can remedy this. Hopefully in time it will be the true venom that we all love.

I was rather impressed with Venom. I had heard so many mixed reviews on it but I personally thought it was a great movie. I don’t follow comics but I’ve also heard mixed reviews on its actual accuracy in relation to them. Overall I really enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend it.

When I first saw the previews for this movie I didn't think it was going to be good. I didn't even go see it in theaters but now I wish I did. This movie is way better than I thought it was going to be. Sure, there are a couple cringy moments but they're easy to get through. I will definitely be watching this movie again. Also, the steelbook is pretty sexy.

This Steelbox is by far one of the best for initial release from Bestbuy. Had to return the regular 4k and spend a few more dollars just to get this copy. Sony studio- Soundtrack is a giving, Excellent with atmos! CGI is surprisingly more realsitic in the 4k. Looked terrible at the movies.

First let me say this... This is NOT a Spider-Man movie. So, please go into this with that in mind. I liked this movie way more than I thought I would. The Eddie and Venom interaction was excellent, and on point. The action was great, the humor was not over done, and the story was very good.

Such a great movie!!! It was both funny & serious in one!! It’s not ur typical Marvel movie but just as good , if not BETTER!!! Tom Hardy player a great role in this film , nobody could have done it better. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out , I will definitely be buying that as well!!
