I am truly impressed with this album. It was definitely interesting transitioning from Psychostick to Evacuate Chicago, but not surprising in the least. While Psychostick is comical and likes to have fun with their lyrics they certainly take the musical part of their band very seriously, and it shows. So it makes sense that they would be able to pull off this album successfully. It’s nice to see the darker, serious side of these guys expressed through their amazing talents. The way each song is written tells its story very well and each time you listen to it, once you get an overall image of the song, you’ll hear something you didn’t hear before and that image changes. While you can get lost in the skillful, heavy drumming and amazing guitar riffs they include some really melodic and stunning guitar and vocal parts that are just as pleasant to listen to. To me it’s amazing when you can mix it up like that and it flows smoothly. I really like the entire album but favor 7. Proof of Dark Matter, 9. Velociraptors, and 10. Time Lapse Photography. I strongly recommend that you purchase this album. You’ll really get what you pay for. I look forward to hearing more from this band. IF, for whatever odd reason, you don’t care for the CD then pass it along to someone you think will and help EC get their name out. They’d do it for you! (And for something different check out Psychostick if you haven’t already – I recommend the Sandwich album but all of it is great)

    Evacuate Chicago - Veracity

Evacuate Chicago is the side project to the comedy metal or "humorcore" band Psychostick we've all come to love. This is a serious, refined and 'grown up' side to them. You can really hear the emotion, and relatability in the lyrics. There's no question in the skill these guys have. Their professionalism really shows through in how well it was produced. It's fast, hard, and heavy from start to end! Deny is one of my favorite tracks. If you've ever had a really bad break up, you'll love it! I promise! I have to say this has made it to my top ten favorite metal albums ever. I seriously can't get enough! You will be blown away! Enjoy!!! - John The Mailman - Kenosha ,WI

This album, honestly is the best album to come out since Psychostick's sandwich. The hard riff's from Josh's guitar, Rob's vocals and Alex's incredible drum's just prove that they are the most underrated band in the land.

If you are a fan of psychostick like I am you will really enjoy this cd. It is not as heavy but many of the guitar riffs are awsome and overall this is a very good cd.
