Awesome disc product for recording

This Dual layer Disc is one of the best on the market for recording high quality stuff such as sporting events such as football games, or figure skating to watch at a later date. The speed to skim through the disc really saves time too. It will not take centuries to find a certain place to continue viewing. Another bonus each disc has its own thin jewel case, which makes labeling the disc easier and able to store. These DL recordable discs are also very compatible with majority of certain “name brand” dvd-recorders that reject other brands of DL- recordable discs. I highly recommend buying them.

Can get all my movies on these discs. The regular 4.7 discs fall far short for burning these movies. Glad they have larger ones out there.

Verbatim makes a good product. When you want to store a lot of information on one disc, these are very handy. I don't use them often, bur they are perfect when you need them.

They work, what more could you ask for? ...well the price is a little steep, but that's what I get for not buying in bulk.

LOVE this Brand of Blank DVD's

The Jewel Cases sealed the deal, yes it's kinda slow, but Dual Layers usually do take a while. I just like being able to archive Large Videos and other media without any issues. I have no need for Blu-ray yet, I can't afford that stuff yet anyways. I have a ps3 but that was for gaming more than anything. But anyways, back on topic... I am glad I chose this brand, I won't buy any other again, Sony DVD's were not nearly as reliable. I had constant Coasters instead of backed up home Videos.
When I go Blu then I'll get Verbatim's Blu-ray's but until then I'm a happy camper :-) All of my files were burned using Windows 7's explorer, no expensive 3rd party stuff here in my house.

I have found Verbatim to have the best media on the market today. I have never had a single problem with literally thousands of their disks. The compatibility among different DVD players for playback is superb. Again, not a single complaint. With other products I usually wind up throwing out 2-3 disks per spindle. These people know their Six Sigma Quality!
When you put this on sale at less than $10 you have an unbelievable deal.

Price was good on these so I picked up the 5 pack, little slow but overall they are great DVD's. I have used them so far to back up data and music and burn a couple dual layer movies and they work wonderful.

I had recently purchased the Canon FS 100, so I thought that I should attempt to make a movie and burn it on a disk. This was the very first time that I had done this, so I thought that I would screw up a bunch of times. Anyway, I decided to buy this product. iDVD on my mac guided me through a easy step by step process, and the disks never failed me. I put the disks into the TV, and they look great. All I have to say is that if an amateur like me can do it, anyone can. However, if you tend to burn movies very often, I would recommend buying a larger package so that you pay less per disk.

Worth The Money!

I wasted 4 hours trying to get my new Dell XPS 8300 to create the factory restore image back up on my memorex DVD-R discs. I thought it was an issue with the Dell Back Up Software since it had problems installing initially.
It would write the disk but then always fail at the verfication stage.
Finally it dawned on me that it might not be the software but the discs themselves, so read some reviews and went out the next day and bought the Verbatims. Guess what? First try it created the restore image and verfied successfully.
You get what you pay for, don't risk the hassle or even worse, back ups that won't work when you need them, time and data are too valuable.

i have used verbatim brand years ago but not for Dvds i rencently upgraded to DL and found many bad Dvds and started to think i had problems but after trying these disks i was able to use even faster speeds and still have all my disks work! i was lucky before verbatim to have about 15% success rate so i can get used to 100% and when you dont have to throw away most of the disks its a great value per Working disks

One Great Double Layer Disk

This has to be one of the best brands out there. I have used Verbatim Double-Layers for a while now and i have never had a bad burn with them.. occasionally i will get a little cheep and buy the memorex brand for dvd+r DL.. but they do not even come close to the reliability of the Verbaim ones.

Great for backing up entire movies without compression or anything that needs the extra space.
