The device is not so good, it doesn't give you a consistent reading every time you check you temp, it jumps up a lot. may be the IR reader is not good in it.
I have tried it a number of time to see if it works correctly but it keeps on changing the temp every time.

Tried on same person just seconds apart and temp are are consistent or even near the range. Return it for refund. Just have to wait for Braun for better deal
