Better to go with a contract and unlimited usage. This one is for basics and gets used up in a few days. It was $50, so it would cost about $500 a month as much as I stream movies etc. Very small amount of data.

I keep this because this one is cheap one. But signal is weaker than other mobile broadband one.. but it is ok for casual user. If keep to use long time like 3-4 hours, connection was not good in my experience.

This has been a godsend for my traveling family this summer. We all had the opportunity to watch movies, download books and work while on the road. I like that we can control the amount of data we need without a contract. Suggest to buy the most you can get. I find your data stretches long over time.

Need wifi occasional where not available...this is a good work around

We got this to use in a rural setting. It works, sometimes, and often slowly. It cannot compare with broadband, and my phone is faster. But if you have nothing at all, this will work. I feel it offers better security than a public wifi.

this is a decent mobile hotspot with the exception that if you don't keep it activated, it is a very difficult process to reactivate it. so if you only use the hotspot when traveling, this is not the one for you.

I love this wifi hotspot When I went over my data I used it to do everything. My laptop and my daughters. My phone and iPad. Even she I was at my daughter gymnastics. This was great to have on hand.

I don't like it at all. The data doesn't last, I purchased 5GB which lasted 2 days, when I tried to buy more, I was told I can only do it by calling Verizon so they can re start your cicle because it's supposed to last 2 months. You can not just purchase data whenever you want. I will return it.

The Verizon Ellipsis allows us to have a great wifi connection wherever we go. We love to travel and camp, and can have better wifi than what is offered in hotels and campgrounds.

I purchased as a backup for my regular internet connection where as I work from home. Recently my cable internet went down and I was able to use this device without any issues.

It worked ok but I had to replace mine twice and my elderly father's 3 times before we just decided to get the step up.

Watch out when you use it on your computer. They will automatically calculate anything that is running in the back and use up your data.

Had to return first 2 Ellipsis. Third time salesman called Verizon and had it activated by phone. Very please with it now. Problem was with Verizon, not Best Buy.

I purchased this to use while traveling and haven't had the opportunity to activate. Love the idea of prepaid internet access while on the road in our RV!
