This phone is by far the best phone I've ever owned! The turbo charger is an awesome feature! However this is the absolute first phone that the battery does indeed last me from 6 am until 10:30 pm without having to charge during the day and I'm an about video watcher, music player, games player, emailer and social media user fanatic. The camera takes extremely clear photos. The front face flash is really good as well! Just all around impressed with this phone!

I love this phone, even given the accompanying Verizon bloatware (most of which can be disabled). The screen is AMOLED and is sharp and clear. The 5.5" size is perfect for me, it has a microSD card slot, a quick fingerprint reader and even a headphone jack. But the real reason to love this phone is its battery life---it just goes on and on and ... well, you get the idea. The camera is only average-to-good depending on lighting, but it's fine for me as I'm not a camera snob. Shutter lovers might pause, but everyone else should not hesitate to consider this phone. And the price is terrific, especially if you can catch a Best Buy sale!

After having to finally replace my out of contract LG G3, I tried but the sim reader failed... I came across this beauty of a phone. I wasn't the most happy with a past Droid Motorola phone so I was very reluctant to try them again but the way this phone is made is very well built and a lot of quality at a nice price point. The battery lasts forever and it's turbocharger cord can bring life back up to 50% from 10% in a matter of 25 minutes..crazy!! I'm loving this phone now.

So far so good. My daughter is happy. It was time for a new phone. I'm on my second, both daughters have one. They last a long time. I only got a newer model because my previous (not broken) one would not do new apps. It still works perfectly for music, pictures, notes, etc.

My old phone died and I had to get a replacement over Memorial day weekend. I was hesitant to get the mot z play since it was not "the latest and greatest" but it had all the features I was looking for and a great price. The positive reviews helped my decision as well. One month later I am very happy with my decision!!! The battery life is amazing. I can go 2 days before I get into the 25% left range. Easy to use and lots of accessories available, has a ear bud Jack, slot for memory card, nice camera. I think my wife will be getting one of these soon.

I have now bought three of these phones for my son. mother, and husband. The camera is awesome (better than mine on my iPhone 6), it has a gorilla glass durable screen, and is a great size (comparable to a Samsung Edge). For the price, this is an excellent option. Motorola has been a reliable company for years and I would highly recommend this product. Don't let the hype and popularity of other brands make you spend more when you can get a great phone like this one at a fraction of the cost. Very pleased with my purchases.

I did extensive research on this phone before purchasing and I have to say, I am glad I bought it. All of the reviews were spot on. Incredible phone and features. Love the clarity of the camera. The battery lasts for days (I don’t do extensive streaming, just normal phone/text use and internet browsing) and charges to full in as little as 20 minutes from almost dead. Perfect phone for my needs.

This phone is very efficient with a nice screen. Tiny sacrifices were made to give this phone a wonderful battery life. I drive far to work with Bluetooth playing on my stereo and then connect my Bluetooth headset to make calls and listen to podcasts. All while tracking miles with the GPS and connecting to wifi here and there. I finish off my day with some phone games and still have approximately 40-50 percent battery when I plug it in 16 hours later.

I upgraded to this phone from my Droid Maxx. I was thoroughly pleased with my old phone, but Motorola somehow fixed all the little interface issues that I didn't realize were mildly annoying. I have no complaints about the features of the phone- the storage space and optional physical expansion is great, the camera quality is the best I've had, apps and their shortcuts are accessible, the screen feels like just the right size. My only complaint is that my battery only lasts a little longer than on my Maxx which had a 3 year old battery.

Thus was my "buy of the year". Best Buy went above and beyond with the sale price, and the phone has incredible battery life. I hope this becomes the new standard for phone battery life!

Mediocre phone. Speaker to hear is good but your voice is somewhat distorted to others. Takes very nice photos & videos. Several downside issues are that Verizon Network has become unstable, unreliable with 5G upgrade, "lost texts & calls." Also screen goes black during phone calls - even when using speaker - whether inside or out doors - rendering numeric key pad inaccessible for telephone menue prompts, then phone goes into "soft reset" without ever making normal screen available. Verizon Store techs INSIST that it is not an issue & that it was not happening, but it has been since it was new, & repeatedly over last 2 years' ownership. I understand the screen goes black when the phone is held to ear as it triggers a sensor, but it wasn't being held to my ear when it wigged out. One final point is that their bloatware consumes too much of the internal onboard memory. I use an SD card to expand memory BUT certain apps install only to onboard internal memory. Nice sized screen. Perhaps someone with better technical computer skills could navigate these issues better but I find them perpetually frustrating. A plus is that THIS is last model that comes with a back piece for the phone. My son upgraded to the next model after this and was CHARGED for a back piece necessary to cover the circutry. Also, now when you upgrade, Verizon is charging more for their Asurion Insurance plans. Verizon ONLY gives BEST DEALS to NEW customers.

Having already had a Moto Z Droid, I knew what i was getting myself into. SImilar to the Z, the Play comes in a slightly lower powered form with a less powerful processor and less ram.
But makes up for it 10x over with it's battery. The Play, well, it mocks most phones I've used and seen with it's battery life.
The 3500 (?) mAh battery maintains a ridiculously long life, so much so that the same activities and uses I previously avoided if I didn't have a charger nearby I now do and will sometimes forgo charging my phone before bed.
Two days. Seriously, two days of RL, constant texts, Snaps, and interwebs. Throw in a little Netflix and some youtube for the kiddo and yea... it's still going.
The display, yea it's not the greatest/latest/flashiest but I can't tell. I'm not watching a Netflix show on my phone because it's the single most epic screen, no I'm watching it because I'm waiting on an appt, or I'm bored, and yea I'd like to be able to watch more than 20 minutes before my phone starts going dead.
Biggest drawback...no Otterbox Commuter case. But the Moto Force box works just fine if I feel like giving up the headphones. And for that protection, sure I'll take that hit.
5/7 would do again.

This is my first Droid telephone. I was considering a Droid only after my grown son had suggested it because of his Droid phones being so dependable. In the past I have had Samsung smartphones and have always been pleased. I considered this phone as a purchase since it was on sale and was quite reasonable in monthly cost as in comparison to the other smartphones from Verizon and Best Buy.
Initially I find that this phone is quite easy to navigate and can only hope that it will become as easy as the Samsung Galaxy phones I've had in the past. I'm certain that once I learn the shortcuts of this phone that it will become a very user-friendly device for me and my business. This Droid phone has excellent graphics and brightness to it. I also purchased from an online Merchant a very durable case called Zizo that complements this phone quite well and makes it very easy to stay clean and scratch free. This Droid device seems to have a very strong battery life even after a full day of use or when I'm not working and have gone through many YouTube videos or have streamed certain things. If all the Droid devices are this good and are always reasonably priced I find that it's only a matter of time before people start to realize that iPhone and Samsung have serious competition and are only used as a status symbol rather than there superiority over Droid. If this Droid does not fail me within the next two years I will be certain to look for the Next Generation once this phone has worn out. A couple of features that stand out with the Droid phone are the fingerprint recognition and the very bright icons on all screens. Certainly very beneficial features for a contractor who uses his device in all lights at all times throughout the day. I also appreciate that Moto does not put on tons of unnecessary apps built into the phone and leaves it to the buyer /user to add apps accordingly. Certainly a definite plus over the other two phone makers. Possibly giving this up to a 5-star rating once I learn the device completely. But for now right out of the gate a four stars because it is a very easy and dependable phone.

As usual, very happy with the build quality on this Moto. The camera is very clear and takes more than acceptable pictures. The battery lasts a solid two days, even under heavy use. Having moto mod capability is a plus, but not something I'll take advantage of right away. Pair this phone with the Incipio DualPro case, and you've got a winner.

An excellent smartphone, full of features, super battery, great display, fast processor, lots of memory and at the best price.
The Best Buy sales rep did a great job, she set up the phone, our new plan and transferred our contacts. The Verizon bill is exactly as promised, no surprises. Would highly recommend Best Buy.
