    I needed a short term phone connection for an out of country guest. I did not want to accidentally run up a big charge on my regular cell phone lines. This helped to limit my cost. No matter what and how the communication is made, my cost is limited to $30. It is NOT a preferred way for a long term phone usage. If you like to have a long term smartphone, there are better options.
