Having high quality luggage is an important part to anyone who travels often or just once a year - its something you never think about until you travel but having a piece of luggage you can depend on is very valuable. I traveled with the Victorinox Connex piece recently and here were my thoughts:
PROS:
- When you have luggage like this that is meant for checked bags, you want it to be as light as possible to maximize your packing abilities but while also being durable. This checks them both! I seriously was blown away with how light it was given that the hard cover is so durable as well.
- Speaking of the hard cover, it really could take a punch! The luggage was thrown around during the airports luggage handling process and I did not notice any issues with it whatsoever. Very impressed that it retained its high end look after all of the traveling!
- I really liked the split design this has when you open it. As you can see in the picture, the zipper goes right down the middle of the suitcase with a divider. This makes things so much more accessible because its not just all stacked on top of each other. Plus if you are traveling with a companion, you can have your items on one side and theirs on the other without any issue of digging through each other’s things. Overall the organization of the suitcase on the inside is very forward thinking.
- Security for the suitcase made me feel very at easy. The zipper lock in place discretely and you can set your own combo, yet its still TSA accessible if needed. I liked this a lot because not having the zipper able to be snagged on something was nice and it just was a elegant streamlined design.
- Lastly, the wheels and handles make for transporting this piece very easy. The wheels glide nicely while the attached handles or extending handles are nice and firm - nothing about it feels cheap. Plus it has a built in luggage ID tag that will pop up if needed. Once again giving this suitcase a slim design without a bunch of tags and zippers sticking out.
CONS:
- I legitimately can’t think of anything that I don’t like about this piece of luggage. Great work all around!
BOTTOM LINE:
- If you are a frequent traveler my car/train/plane, just do yourself a favor and buy this Victorinix Connex luggage. It really makes life a lot easier and having a high quality suitcase such as this makes traveling more simple!

As a "gadget guy" I never thought I'd get excited about a suitcase! I was wrong! This case is lightweight but super strong! It has a hidden ID Tag/sim pin/pen holder so if someone takes the case and removes your luggage tag, you can open the "secret" compartment and prove ownership! Fully loaded is rolls almost like it's empty, and so far hasn't "tipped" over or demonstrated any of the normal gripes I've had with previous luggage. It holds all of my clothes, toiletries, and electronics for a weeklong business trip, and I could definitely pack more if I didn't have an "everything (including electronics)" in one bag approach to traveling. The main case is expandable as needed for additional payload! The combo locks can be self-set to any combination and have a TSA Key override for unattended inspections. There's plenty of open space for folded items and a divider with compartments for smaller necessities. This is not a "carry on" bag, but it's perfect 1 case travel no matter your means of travel! And since I'm clumsy, it's already taken a beating over the last 2 weeks and it's in "like new" condition! Any scuffs wiped off with a damp rag!

The Victorinox Connex is a really nice suitcase! I love the hard shell design, sleek appearance and ultra smooth maneuverability. I’ve needed a new suitcase for the past few years and finally decided to get a new one when I saw this Victorinox. I’ve never owned any Victorinox luggage before but am very familiar with the brand and know that Victorinox means quality. I fly domestically 4-5 times a year and also go on road-trips to visit family in neighboring states, so I wanted a suitcase that is rugged enough to be slammed around in the back of my car, while still looking great when I roll it through the airport.
I used this on a recent extended weekend trip, flying domestically and staying in a hotel for a couple days. The first thing I noticed was how light it is, although it’s larger than my previous case, and appears to have a more durable shell, it is much lighter. Secondly I was very impressed by the spinning wheels with tires designed by Mitsubishi. They are smooth and silent on every surface they grace, combine that with the flawless 360 degree maneuverability and rolling this suitcase around is a pleasure! If you’ve never had a “spinner” suitcase before, I highly recommend you make sure it’s a feature on the next case you buy.
This suitcase is very spacious with a well designed interior. I appreciate the split design with a 2 pocket panel that zips into the top of the front shell, acting as a divider between the 2 shells when the case is closed. The divider panel includes a padded zipper pocket, perfect for small laptops and tablets, and a large mesh pocket. There is a third mesh pocket, with a nifty “pocket knife” pocket, running along the interior spine of the back shell.
I’m glad to have a suitcase with a Travel Sentry approved lock since I do fly a lot. It’s nice to be able to lock your bag, knowing only the people who are approved to access it, will do so if they need to.
The telescopic pull handle on this suitcase is solid, sturdy and lightweight. I’ve had other suitcases with a wobbly telescopic handle, and it gets annoying fast. The haul handles are well positioned, strong and have a smooth soft grip for easy hauling.
I’m so happy I had this suitcase for my recent trip and know it will last me many years to come. I highly recommend this suitcase, or any of the Victorinox suitcases to anyone needing new luggage.

This is by far one of my favorite pieces of luggage I've owned.
I have only used it on one trip so far from MSY to DTW and back, But the hard shell outer case doesn't show any scuffs or bumps or wear from the baggage handlers. I have always used hard shell suitcases. I just feel they protects your valuables better from not only the people handling it but also the elements (rain). You will find a nice secured luggage tag and ballpoint pen under the back handle. And a combination lock for the zippers that is travel sentry approved. Now I didn't have mine fully loaded but I was at 37 pounds with plenty of room left. The dual caster wheels makes it glide. Was very easy to control with one hand. It handled turns and small bumps great. And was very stable. I never had it want to tip over. The black outer shell has a nice shine to it when the light hits it and was very easy to find on the conveyor belt.
Opening up this suitcase and it just keeps getting better. The liner is soft and thick compared to all my other ones that just have a paper thin almost see through lining. On one side it has two big zipper pockets one has a mesh screen making things easy to find. And on the other side is a small pocket with mesh also.
You can truly see and feel the premium components that were put in to making this a great suitcase. I look forward to the years of use I'm sure I will get out of this piece.
The one thing that I do miss that my others have is a built in scale in the handle. But that's why we have bathroom scales right? lol

Worry no more about your travels

We all know that baggage handlers at airports cut care less about people's luggage. As a frequent flyer, I'm always worried about my personal belongings being damages. Well, this is where the Victorinox - Connex suitcase comes in for the win. The hardside case is tough and durable. The first time I took it on a flight with me, I was more at ease knowing that I had the Connex to protect my belongings. When I got to my destination, I immediately checked to make sure that everything was in place, and that my laptop wasn't damaged. Everything was in place and in one piece. This is my new favorite suitcase for sure.
Another great feature with the Victorinox - Connex is the built-in combination lock. This eliminates having to buy those small little locks every time I lose them. It is a Travel Sentry Approved lock, so if there is a need to search through your bag (hopefully not), TSA can go ahead and do so. The suitcase is very spacious as well, and I had not trouble fitting the essentials in this bag. It's lightweight and the wheels roll smoothly along the way.
The Victorinox - Connex is incredible. I am really happy with the quality and durability of the suitcase. To top things off, it comes with an 11 year warranty. Feel confident in your travels with the Victorinox - Connex. I highly recommend it.

I made this order online and didn't realize until I had it in my house just how big it was!!! This isn't a bad thing though for my family and I because we needed a larger suitcase to replace one that broke last summer after almost 10 years of use.
This one is very nice though and feels very sturdy with the solid outer shell but light weight while not feeling cheap at all. The wheels on this roll very well when loaded down and the added lock feature that can still be opened by TSA is a nice feature as well. I was able to set the new code in about 5 seconds to have my own personal code on it. The zippers also feel very sturdy and it has multiple compartments to allow you to load it down and keep certain items segregated within if needed.
Overall I am very happy with this piece of luggage and it will be getting a lot of use by my wife and I for our upcoming trips this summer and beyond. I know this brand is synonymous with quality and this particular one doesn't disappoint.

I never thought that I would be excited about getting luggage, but that was the case when I got the Victorinox suitcase. You will be impressed by how light it is without anything in it. This is a major plus, especially in today's age of airlines weighing your luggage. Second, you will be impressed by how durable the shell is. My wife and I took this suitcase on a 3 day trip recently and that is all the luggage we needed. We no longer have to worry about our stuff getting mixed-up because she can put her things on one side and I can use the other side of the expandable case. The wheels are very smooth and easy to maneuver. An added bonus is the lock that is only TSA accessible. Overall, my wife and I were very pleased by this Victorinox expandable suitcase. If you are looking for a new piece of luggage, consider this great suitcase.

This is the first Victorinox suitcase I have owned and I have to say, it is really nice. You can tell that a lot of thought went into this item. This is the 30 inch model which has a lot of space. There are compression liners inside to hold items in place and an expandable lid in case you need just a little more room. The zippers are high quality and the wheels are butter smooth. The locks also have a TSA key hole so there shouldn't be any damage to the locks if a bag needs to be inspected. Overall I think this bag is worth every cent and should last a very long time. By the way, this is a larger sized bag, so not made for the overhead. Victorinox makes this bag in other sizes, so pick what works for you.

Let me preface this review with saying that I'm the person at the airport whose luggage manages to get squished between the two huge oversize crates on the conveyor, I've also managed to let go of the handle and watch it tumble down the the stairs, I routinely catch the wheels on the lip of the trunk and drop on the ground, or on especially good days I manage to trip over and land on. I have blown out more zippers, deformed more corners, and overall damaged more hard sided luggage than I thought possible. So I was a bit skeptical when I got this suitcase only to find that it weighs about 10 lbs and doesn't feel substantial as I would expect in a rugged suitcase.
Out of the box, I notice how light it is. The wheels spin freely and with double casters, even when I loaded it well above the 50 lb airline checked luggage limit, the suitcase wheels never bound up, tipped over, or did anything other than roll as expected. The external zippers have a TSA approved lock that holds the zippers in place, and when registered, the site will maintain your lock code if you aren't a frequent traveler and forget it in between uses. The handle feels solid, even with the ~80 lbs of stuff I managed to cram in it, and expands enough to work for both me at 5'5" and my husband at 6'1". Inside the luggage offers the normal stretchy retaining straps as well as a zippered divider. The divider has 2 zippered pockets, in addition to a small pocket that runs the length (top to bottom) of the suitcase for toiletries. This pocket has a small pocket at the edge with the outline of a Swiss Army knife on it, which I appreciate as a reminder to pack it. I've left more of these at airport security checks then I care to admit. There is an additional external zipper that allows the suitcase to expand another ~2". Even though I've only used this twice, when I found myself needing to sit on the lid to zip, the zipper quality feels both strong and durable. I'm not concerned about the zippers giving up when I occasionally (or every single trip) manage to pack more in the suitcase than it was intended for.
Overall I'm impressed. The strength is superior to suitcases that weigh almost double what this one does. The exterior shows minor cosmetic scuffing after a few trips, but when I took a damp towel to it, most of the marks disappeared. This suitcase is a necessary addition to your luggage collection if you need a very sturdy yet lightweight suitcase that will easily carry 50+ lbs of gear.

I love this 30" suitcase!! It is light-weight, but very sturdy.
The wheels roll very easily and don't get hung up on carpet ... moves just as easily on carpet and tile! The wheels seem well-made and should last for many years.
The zippers glide easily over their track. The locking mechanism for the zipper "ends" works great; it's the first one I've seen that has the integrated lock built into the side of the suitcase.
The inside is spacious. Has half of the suitcase behind a zippered enclosure which keeps all the items neat and tidy. Makes it easy for two people to share the suitcase and keeps their items on separate halves of the suitcase.
The exterior appears very rugged and using for multiple future trips and destinations will prove that out ... I have more trips planned this Summer and Fall.
I was very impressed to learn that the manufacturer of this suitcase was that of the Swiss Army Knife!
I would like to get a full set of these suitcases!
