There was a lack of coordination between Best Buy and the home service provider. When I ordered the service I was specific about something I would need help with and on that specific item I was assured I need not worry because it would be taken care of by their home service provider. Not only could the technician not handle that problem, it prevented him from completing the work. I paid $99 for half the work to be done and then instruction from the technician how I could do the rest myself. I do not blame the technician, but this was just wrong. I am including a picture of my do-it-yourself handiwork, which is a good clue as to why I was willing to pay the $99.

The service provided for this smart doorbell installation was comically bad. Not only were the installers unable to correctly install the device after 3 tries, the Geek Squad home office was unable to correctly communicate any rescheduled or canceled appointments. This meant that installers were randomly showing up at my house in the middle of this pandemic asking to be let into my house with no warning at all, even after I requested no further installation attempts. Eventually I decided to have another company remove all of the smart doorbell components. This same company was able to install a new door bell in a single try. In summation: - the Geek Squad installers did not properly understand the process to install the product - they were unable to effectively communicate rescheduled appointments and chose appointment windows to show up without consulting me - the home office was not able to effectively cancel these appointments meaning installers were showing up at my house unannounced - the home office could not even route me to the correct department to solve my problem. They seemed completely inept at solving this issue after several failed attempts I will never order any smart devices from Best Buy or have them installed by Geek Squad again

The install was just ok. I thought the wiring could have been a lot neater. No zip ties, or anything to organize. The amp does not work properly. It cuts off after a few minutes. It was like that when geek squad. Said they didn’t know what to do. I was told that sonance would contacted. One of the ceiling speakers does not work.
