As a sales consultant for media / home theater rooms, I have auditioned and recommended many center channels over the years. Being also a audiophile, I have always had reservations with the center channel in the first place (narrows the front stage, limits your system to it's limitation and so on). Personally, I would rather run my system in Phantom mode (no center) and forget the center channel, but with the advent of the lossless audio formats not supporting phantom channel, I was forced to try to find one that meets my strick demands, which really isn't strick, I just wanted one that doesn't limit soundstage, dynamics and doesn't sound like it's coming from a hole in the wall. This is the center that not only fit, but exceded my criteria. Wide, wonderful, warm, and that's just the w's. It's strongest strength, is it's ability to transfer emotion, subtle or bombastic, pure emotion, which bodes well for music. Movies are a breeze and simply beautiful sound on any movie I throw at it. Coupled with a dedicated Rel subwoofer for the center, and I dare say it's simply the best center channel I have ever heard. The model up from this one (Maestro) has a bit more detail in the highs and mid highs, so if you want just a little more detail, audition that one also, this one worked out better for me as it blended seemlessly with current speakers.

Watching sporting events in home theaters can suffer if your center channel is weak and you can't hear announcers well. You can solve this problem overnight with these speakers. They are crystal clear at all levels. They are also beautifully finished with a black gloss that is so deep you almost think they are fine art. pair this speaker up with the floor stand units from same company and you have some incredible sound. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I bought this center channel on recommendation for matching my Bach Grand left and right speakers. I'm very happy so far. Even my wife commented on how clear dialog was in movies that we are very familiar with. Now I have a system that does both music AND movies great! Last system (Definitive Technologies ProSat) didn't even come close, and my old B&W's for music didn't have the warmth! Next I have to buy the Waltz Grand wall speakers for my surrounds, and my parents want a pair of Haydn Grand for there living room, too!

This center channel works great with my Vienna bookshelf speakers.
