Hood and blower are NOT one unit

You scroll by and wonder why 3 stars?
When you pay this much for a hood you expect it to be a complete unit. I researched this product for some time prior to purchasing. I understood the hood facade was typically sold separately from from the blower mechanism. When we purchased this hood we specifically asked if we needed to purchase the blower as well. The sales person said everything was included.
After waiting 2.5 months for our appliances to arrive (that’s fine, I have patience), we have everything installed and find out the blower is NOT included. To the tune of $629 and not even available at Best Buy but through another supplier. We missed out on the 5% rebate offered by Viking (purchasing by 12/31/2020) and had pay for an additional install cost.
Viking has great products, they need to make sure all licensed dealers have qualified personnel to sell their product.

This hood came without a motor! It's like buying a car without its engine. Wish I knew this hood needed a separate motor. Just ordered one and was told it would be 3 to 20 weeks to come in.

we remodeled out kitchen recently, we had an older viking hood. we Although our 15 year old viking hood worked great, we wanted to upgrade the look of our kitchen with this new chimney style hood. We are so happy with our decision, the new chimney hood looks so much better!

love the power of the hood - do not love the flickering lights that are supposed to be "dimmable".
Viking is probably the biggest mistake I've made in my adult life. Overpriced, inferior, poor performance.
I have a double oven, fridge, d/w, and now the cooktop and this thing.
EVERY PIECE HAS A SERVICE CALL CURRENTLY OPEN, except the cooktop.
