Love this TV series great battle scenes ships weapons and characters

I like epopeyas, histories on traveling conquers and difficulties faced

I heard about the Viking series through someone at work. I was told I wouldn't be disappointed. It's one of the best pieces of advice I ever took. When I started watching it the series was already three seasons in. I had to do some catching up, but what a viewing experience it was and is. This show is on another level. the battle scenes, the locations, the historicity, wow!. This season is no different, the continuing adventures these characters is something I look forward to every season.

I liked this season. This series is one of my favs.

Still waiting for release date of Season 5 Volume 2.

I don't like Ivar's leadership. Bishop Heahmund seeks power over the Vikings but resists submitting to King Aethelwulf 's leadership. Both Ivar and Bishop Heahmund crave power at any cost. I MISS Ragnar!!! But I realize that the story now focuses on Ragnar's sons and their journeys that will usher them into Valhalla. Time will tell if the victor garners respect and admiration like Ragnar.

The events depicted in the 5th season of Vikings were very very entertaining and for the most part, very historically accurate. They have condensed the events from several different Viking bands into one family and their exploits are very compelling. Good acting and special effects, especially for television. Good viewing for an old history teacher or anyone interested in the Middle Ages.

This season is little bit boring and seems like they trying to rush it! I seen it on tv already when it was airing every week! I bought it because I have all the blu rays already! So might us sell complete the set!

Great series and needed this season to finish off the full set. One of those series that seemed to come out at the same time, along with Black Sails, etc. Wish it had lasted a few more seasons but as with all good things they must come to an end. If you like things from this time period I'd highly recommend it.

I got this on sale at Best Buy. I was able to shop around to see if I could find a better price for this item. Best Buy was fair and competitive with there pricing and they were very good with the staffing due to the covic-19 virus going around. Everyone was following the safety guidelines.

With Ragnar's sons all at odds, Ivar the Boneless ruling Kattegat, Alfred the Great is king of Wessex and trying to secure his rule there is a lot of action to be had. This series continues to entertain with a wonderful blend of history and fiction for a very entertaining ride. A must see!

It depicts real rough and challenges lifestyle of that era. Weakness and slothfulness were not tolerated everyone contributed to the greater good of their clan and kingdom. Yet many wanted to be the king and would do whatever it took to achieve that end. Great acting and authenticity.

The ONLY thing I don't like about this box set, is that they broke it up into 2 volumes. Maybe they're trying to make more money off each season, or something. Either way though, I love the series. I hate Ragnar is gone, but his son Ivar 'The Boneless' is taking his place rather well.

Thought the show wouldn't be the same without Ragnar but his boys picked it right up and made a great show. The last episode cliff hanger has me looking forward to next year and with so much Viking history thinking this show could go one a few more seasons.

Vikings is my favorite television show. I'm no historian but I do have an interest in history of northern Europe before the christian conversion. The sets are gorgeous. The action is bloody and frenetic like I feel a blade fight would be.
