Got this to replace an Ibanez analog delay that quit working. Price is right and performs exceptionally well. Satisfied with the product. I have been using Behringer effects for years without any problems.

    Vintage bucket brigade delay

This is a fabulous analog delay pedal, using the classic bucket brigade delay line system that was invented in the late 1960s. This style of delay has tape-delay character, where the repeats each sound rounder then the previous pass through the delay circuit. A digital delay will get you a longer time, and DSP pedals will give you all sorts of modeling parameters - but only an analog delay has that warm slap, and can be put into a self-oscillation for crazy tape-style effects. The Behringer pedals are insanely great value for the money, and with a classic analog circuit, it's not an option. Just buy this thing. Works great as designed for floor rigs, also compliments synths for desktop tweaking. Plastic case isn't anything to get excited about, but the sound, control and all-analog design would suggest a pedal worth 5 times the price.

The Behringer VD400 has a vintage feel for guitar work. Had an Ibanez AD9, and it eventually putzed out. Bought the Beh ringer, as I have a number of their effects. Always satisfied with them.

I use this pedal in a 3 piece Morrissey meets KD Lang type band. The pedal is great for adding subtle delay to solos and slapback on muted one string picking. There is no volume control however. You'll have to buy a separate volume pedal for that.
