Another Scorcese master selection of song! The man knows how to pick the classics and pull out some newbies to set the tone of the show and era

Nice compilation disc that includes most of the songs from the 2 hr pilot episode. Love most of the songs and the various genres. Only gripe: didn't need the Edgar Winter or Foghat songs on this. Both are overplayed classic rockers that could've been replaced by something lesser known. Otherwise, fun album. Note: this album is from the pilot episode only, not the subsequent episodes.

This album gives an excellent feel of the time and the show. Hey it has Sturgill Simpson shredding on one track, worth the purchase for that alone!

The songs capture the essence of the early 70's. Every song is timeless.

My wife loved the Vinyl series on HBO so she decided to get the soundtrack. After listening to it twice, it promptly was added to her "available" list on a music swap site. Very disappointing . . .
