    I’ve been using the A229 from Viofo for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best dash cams I’ve owned. The video quality is impressively sharp, both during the day and at night. License plates are readable in most situations. Installation was straightforward, and the camera itself feels solid and well-built. The interface is simple enough that you don’t have to dig through a complicated manual just to change basic settings. The dual-channel recording is a big plus, capturing both front and rear footage clearly. Files are easy to access through the app, and overall performance has been stable with no random shutdowns or corrupted clips so far.

    This is my first dash cam for my brand new car. I really loved it. They way it works capturing the recording and photos awesome. I highly recommend this to everyone who is looking for perfect dash cam with reasonable price.

    I had this unit professionally installed by Best Buy, and the installer did a good job, including configuring the standard settings. I was able to install the app on my iPhone; however, I am unable to change the settings as intended. I attempted to pair the unit using the vehicle’s Wi-Fi, but this did not work. The unit powers on and appears to function properly, but I cannot adjust the settings through the app while I am in the vehicle. I have contacted Viofo support and am currently waiting for their response. If necessary, I may return to Best Buy to have them review the installation. This system should not be this difficult to use, and I hope I will not be charged any additional fees if I need to bring it back in.
