The VIOFO A329S is an expensive, but top of the line dash cam with excellent video quality. I have used several Viofo cameras and been very impressed with them all. Having 2K resolution in the rear camera is a big plus, and the STARVIS 2 sensors make a noticeable difference in low-light conditions. It comes with a CPL (circular polarizing lens) filter for the front camera, which helps cut down on glare.
I really like the voice notifications like “2 channel recording started” instead of it just beeping at me like many dash cams do. This makes it easy to know if something gets disconnected or when WiFi turns off. The app can be a little finicky at times, but it’s still easier to adjust settings than using the camera buttons.
The external SSD storage is good for power users who plan on hard-wiring and using parking mode. I probably won’t use this feature but it’s nice to have.
If you do a lot of downloading videos directly to your phone, the Wifi 6 makes it so much faster. If you transfer it off directly from your storage then it won’t provide you much difference.
Very happy this new model uses the slimmer coaxial cable for the rear. It makes it so much easier routing the cable under the trim. I also have the A229 Pro which uses USB-C for both and it was a little harder to route the cables.
Overall, the A329S Pro delivers outstanding video quality, great low-light performance, and smart features that make it a strong choice for a reliable dash cam setup.
