Violent Night is a good movie action comedy and good story.

David Harbour plays Santa Claus and he's fed up with the greed and consumerism associated with Christmas. He just happens to be in the home of a wealthy corporate family when mercenaries lead by John Leguizamo's Scrooge decide to ruin the holiday festivities and take hostages. Santa takes it upon himself to stop the naughty thugs and save the family's Christmas spirits.

It's better than the cover suggests. I liked it considering what it is.

Like my title says if you like action movies this movie is basically Die Hard starring Santa. My friends and I really loves it and its a great new addition to my adult Xmas specials collection! Like always, Remember, buy hard copies of movies, they cant take them away from you like streaming services can once they lose the license.

A much appreciated counterpoint to the flood of schlock which hits the airwaves this time of year. Horror-action-comedy and not to be taken seriously. Parts dragged a little bit but, also, parts of this made me laugh out loud. Will probably drag it out next December to watch again.

Fun new Christmas romp exactly to watch with others

started to watch this movie and thought this is typical slasher stupid movie but the more I watched the better it got and while there is a lot of violent, it is actually a good story about where Santa was derived from and what happened starting during the Viking days.

Not quite what I expected...I expected more of a "Silent Night, Deadly Night" from the 1980s. This is more of a "Home Alone" meets "Die Hard". It's worth watching and will probably be an annual must-see for us for years.

I wanted to see this movie in the theater this past Christmas but wasn't able to go. I read a lot of reviews on it and they we're all good to excellent. It's a really mean spirited movie and if you're offended by Santa Claus doing " Die Hard " type things.. then this may not be the movie for you. I really enjoyed it and it's pretty heavy on violence but it has lots of laughs. I wish this movie had been given a 4K treatment, but the Blu-ray is just fine. It looks good, as a new theatrical release should, and the 7.1 surround sound is really good. Even though this is labeled as a Christmas movie you could probably watch it anytime of the year and enjoy it.
