No more rusted out hood switch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great solution to replace hood pins which are notorious for rusting put and getting stuck closed, which is dangerous because it will allow the remote start to activate when the hood is open (and you or someone is possibly working on the engine.) This is an elegant solution. It looks like it's filled with a liquid metal which connects two contacts when beyond a certain angle. Not sure if this would trigger a false positive on a steep hill but so far it's worked as expected on my car.

Ball switch does it’s job.
