I got this with a package deal from best buy it's good to have extra peace of mind since bad guys will pop hoods and kill the battery at least if they do that with this on the alarm will sound maybe making them go elsewhere or at least go off for a few seconds but remember something is always better than nothing

The bearing style switch is going to be superior to the pin style because of corrosion. The hood pin type can rust over time and send a faulty signal to the car starter. The enclosed style is far better suited to climate conditions and should last far longer then the hood pin type. An easy decision if installing a remote car stater.

This is very useful in preventing accidental starts while the hood is not closed. Depending on your security system it may also set off the alarm if you have an un-authorized person break open the hood. If you get a remote start I would suggest this product; it will definitely help prevent theft and improper use of your vehicle.

Needed for installing remote start into 2004 GMC Yukon. Worked well, no issues.

The installation was done well, the installer was careful with my car which I appreciated. Some confution on the features of the alarm and starter and what the system was capable of doing, a few things were replaced and I m satisfied as of now.

This relay is hooked up on the hood of your auto and goes with the viper remote starter. It prevents the remote starter from starting your auto when the hood is up. It does its job and keeps the car from starting. You need to have this with any remote starter so it can't start accidently.

This was a necessary purchase for our sons remote start for his car. So far it has worked great and he loves being able to warm the car up on cold winter mornings without leaving the house.

This is a Great safety feature for our Remote Start system. While leaning over engine it keeps you from accidentally starting car,,,,saved my fingers!!

This is part of the whole system-remote start. I loked the product and works really well. This piece should be good as its part of the overall system.

So far so good with this tilt switch! I live in Minnesota where these things usually don't fair well. This thing is still sealed and working perfectly! Way better than the typical mechanical switches!
