It prevents the remote starter from starting your auto when the hood is up. It does its job and keeps the car from starting. You need to have this with any remote starter so it can't start accidently.

Some confution on the features of the alarm and starter and what the system was capable of doing, a few things were replaced and I m satisfied as of now.

Remote Start Switch for Car Alarm

He has a new baby and now he can take his son from a warm house in the winter to warm car. He can take his son from a cool house to a cool car in the summer. He absolutely loves this and highly recommends it.

Great quality tilt switch!

I live in Minnesota where these things usually don't fair well. This thing is still sealed and working perfectly! Way better than the typical mechanical switches!

Easy install by best buy

Making the install appt was easy and quick despite the busy holiday season. The switch does what it's supposed to do. Happy with the product and the service
