This doesn't work. At first it would just set off the car alarm then it started to just do nothing but randomly beep.

Bought this as a package deal the day after Black Friday, and had it installed on my 96 F250 diesel pickup on the 11th of December. Geeksquad did an exceptional job on the install, it did take a little longer than anticipated (1/2 hour) but I am very pleased with it. The only issue I have had was the sensor that they installed on the hood to prevent starting needed a little adjustment as my driveway has a slight incline and prevented from being started. I am definitely not disappointed that I purchased this system especially having my dog that likes to go everywhere with me, now I can take him and not worry about him freezing in the cold and come summer time I'll be able to run the a/c. You have the choice of 12, 24, and 60 minutes, I chose 60 because I may take a while sometimes depending on what I am doing. I also picked one up for my mom for Xmas, so she'll have a warm car when she gets off work.

excellent for those winter days, I can start and warm up my car from inside the building at work, works excellent every time! Easy to use, Best Buy installed it, did a great job.

Nice range as I am able to start my car from my 2nd floor office as my vehicle is parked not directly outside my window. Have been parking closer to the entrance farther away from the window and the range is impressive. Only negative is once you start your car, you are not able to use the AUX button to open your trunk which is a bit of a hassle when you have a cart full of groceries.

I was drawn by the fact that it's advertised as being able to remote start from a 1 mile radius. Although, I've had some trouble a couple times remote starting it, when I know I'm not even a mile away.

Love how simple and easy it is to use. The range is amazing.

It's obvious now that i have it and was told from the picture but when reading the description and the specifications I was under the impression that both remotes are 2-way remotes. Only one is. The 2-way remote gives you confirmation that the car got the start signal - if you are in an iffy location / distance and you try it - w/o the lucky 2-way remote on you, you have no way to know if it got the signal...Sending it again will either turn it off (if it received the first one) or turn it on. So given that - You got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?"...Well, do you punk?

I love this remote starter. It's easy to use and definitely helps in the winter. The people at the Johnstown store were very helpful and installed my remote starter for me at a convenient time.

I have had this installed for almost a year now. After 4 scheduled trips, 8 non-scheduled trips, it is still not fixed. Spoke with them yesterday, now they want me to bring it back in for the 5th time. Dont know if it is the install or the product. All I can say the GEEK SQUAD, has not been helpful at all. I will probably go ahead and spend the money and have it fixed by someone else, or have it removed.

Overall this is a great starter. It works well from a close distance. It allows me to still use my factory keyless entry. I've only seen issues when I am far away from my car, but still within the one mile radius. I'll get false positive starts.

Purchased the car starter and just got it installed today. Geek squad did an excellent job with the install even though my cars after market security system didn't want to play nice. They worked on it until they got it right!

I have been enjoying this remote start with the comfort of starting the car from far. Only thing that I feel it could have been better is it would work beyond walls. Sometimes even when I m within half a mile, it does not work if there are walls in between.

I wanted a 2 way remote so there would be confirmation when the vehicle starts and when the doors lock. The confirmation is misleading. It beeps to let you know the vehicle got the signal from the remote but it does not actually let you know if the car starts. It will not unlock doors with remote unless you lock it with the remote with the doors closed. Car also does not start as well as it did before adding the remote.

I got this product last thanksgiving day along with geek squad installation and felt really useful specially during winter season.So far it is working great without any issues. Remote starter coverage is also good. One important feature available in this model is 2-way remote which helps us to see whether Car really started or not.

Model DS4VB, JUNK do not buy, called Viper to complain and they hang up on me. No support from Viper . JUNK do not buy

Purchased the item in Sep. Got it in Oct. Called Best Buy to get it installed and earliest they can do is Dec. Was also told I needed additional items, which I'm aware of but that's a ridiculous $220 more. Went to Best Buy and purchased the additional items in case they run out by my schedule date. Then when I brought my car in I was told they need the invoice, which was completely opposite from what I was told over the phone when I made the appointment. Now that I can't find the invoice, they won't install it. Don't know how well the remote starter works, but sure is a pain to just get it installed.

This item has worked very reliably, and I am very pleased with it's sound functioning. The installation was done perfectly.

This alarm works well for the price. I wish it was a little more sensitive.

The 4806V is advertised to work *up to* one mile. I get it, it's not always going to work from a mile away; that would be with a clear line of sight, I'm sure. That said, I would expect it to work from a reasonable distance even with obstacles in the way. My office is attached to the parking garage where I park my car during the day. It is 350 feet from my desk to my car and the signal has to travel through one wall and one concrete floor. It doesn't work. I have to walk to within 100 feet before the car will start. I contacted Viper about this (spoke with Carmen in their support department) and she assured me that something was wrong with the system or installation. She said there is no way it should not work from 350 feet no matter what is in the way. She suggested that I return to Best Buy and have them check the installation along with the components, which I did. Best Buy tells me there is nothing wrong with the system or installation and suggests I try the Smart Start (phone app) which is another $150. I try to contact Viper again but, after waiting on hold *twice* for 45 minutes each time and reaching no one, I decide to email them. A week later I get a one-sentence response to my detailed email telling me that there must be something in the way and to park closer. WTF. So I return to Best Buy, hesitant to purchase the SmartStart add-on but I do just that. Turns out it doesn't work about 25% of the time either. The app says the car started but when I get to the car, it's not running and is stone cold. So I contact Viper again and (nearly a week later) they reply and tell me, in three brief sentences, to park somewhere else. To summarize, I have a $600+ remote start system that doesn't remotely start my car. At least not reliably. And the support from Viper is beyond horrible. Purchase this product at your own risk. You've been warned. Best Buy's service has been good.

Very dissatisfied with product and with Best Buy. Range was poor. Alarm sounding at all hours for no reason. Best Buy was unable to fix and did not offer any assistance with manufacturer.
