Bought this unit as a birthday gift for my daughter. The Geek Squad installed the unit (3 hour installation). Showed us how to use it and it performs exactly as I hoped it would. The transmitter has great range and now my daughter goes out to a warm car (which is great given how cold it's been in the northeast this winter).

I love getting in the car with the temperature just right and my favorite station playing. The range is awesome, as are the security features. I just wish there were 2 remotes. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the Viper system.

The special would have been a good deal for me. I was planning on buying extra remotes anyway so the upgrade suggested by the installer made sense. Installation was timely and smooth. Works perfectly.

This basic remote car starter is very well designed and works very well. Installation by the Best Buy techs went very smooth. The small fob that comes with the system is very nice.

I researched the Best Buy weekly flyer for a month or so before buying this remote starter. I was mainly interested in an under $200.00 price. Although this took considerably longer than the 2.75 hours install time noted in the Best Buy paperwork (my geek squad tech predicted 4 hours, but mine actually took 5 hours [perhaps due to a battery grounding mistake]) at free installation, it only cost me a bit of time. This unit does exactly what I wanted: it remotely starts my car. You need to unlock the car and put the key into the ignition with this unit (I understand that with more expensive units you may not need to do this). I am SUPER HAPPY and regret not doing this sooner!!!

Can't really complain for the price this remote start is pretty good no issues, there were a few extra charges, but best buy was up front with then and in no way tried to hide them.

I live in the cold, cold north central states and this product is a God-send! Works great. The advertised "1/4 mile range" is in an open field only, though. No frills, but no chills! It does the basic job of starting the car very well. Bonus points for the small fob - my keychain is already too big.

this is the cheapest option i found and to be honest the range is great and it does he job pretty well ALTHOUGH looking back i wish i would have spent a bit more for a 2 way remote and a system that allows me to turn on the heat from inside because you will have this for a long time probably and if you live in a cold place like I do, you will use it a lot. Get this if you are on a budget, otherwise go for a slightly better one it will return a lot more satisfaction later on

Never fails , this is a supreme upgrade to my 2008 lincoln navigator which allows my truck to run the a.c. on extremely hot days.I highly recommend this product

This is a great remote starter and works as expected. It is great for cold weather, when you don't want to go outside to start your car/suv.

Installed on G37 which has push button start. Wish range was a little further and/or theRe was confirmation that car did or didn't start somewhat like a 2-way. Good for the most part.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it. It starts up her car every time from her office, which is about 6 or 7 hundred feet from her car.

This product gives me everything that I wanted. It obviously starts my vehicle, but I love the added features that I was unaware of when I purchased it. My vehicle's doors remained locked until I either unlock them with my keys or hit my button on the Viper starter again. From there, the vehicle will not drive until the key is put into the ignition. Vehicle automatically shuts down if you apply your foot to the brakes without the key in the ignition....no one is stealing my vehicle! Great product, worth every dollar spent!!!

Works well with my 2001 Subaru Forrester. Starter works long range, I can click once from my office and my car starts at park lot a hundred yards away. The device has some interface issue with Subaru security system, thus I can either unlock the door before remote start or shut off remote start before unlock car doors. Doors can not be unlocked during the remote started engine running. Overall it serves my basic need: remotely start the car.

If you are looking for just a basic remote start, you can get this! I have read a lot of reviews. It works fine but it says 2000 feet. It wont start if you are in a building with closed windows. The signal has to be clear. You will be carrying 2 key fobs. I have an accord and push start and the geek squad said no matter what remote start i get, my car dont have a key takeover when i get into the car.
