If you want to get a remote start or security system installed, DO NOT go here to have it done unless you want the worst installation ever from incompetent installers. I have been dealing with an absolutely nightmare of an installation in my nearly brand new truck. My truck has been to Best Buy for 3 entire days and now they are refusing to work on it anymore even though they offer a lifetime warranty on installs. They even brought down their champion from the Rochester, NY store and even he could not get it working correctly. I have a list of 16 problems. I repeat, sixteen problems. The list includes things such as the 2 way remote not responding, the antenna being mounted halfway up my windshield right in my view, a wire being ran around my rear suspension and brake line of the truck, the lights and horn not being hooked up to the system like they are suppose to be. The add-ons that I had them install do not work correctly. A lot of the list has been resolved but would have been left incorrect if I didn't make them correct it. I am still experiencing several problems that they are refusing to fix.

Purchased this Viper 5706V in store with Geek Squad install for a Tundra. Ryan W. performed the install flawlessly. He explained the functions of the system and made sure I understood everything before I left. Would definitely recommend!

When I wanted an alarm for my jeep I immediately thought Viper. I started looking around town and also Best Buy. I found that Best Buy was cheaper and also had 12 months no interest with my Best Buy Card so I used them. I ordered the Viper online and it was sent to my house. Best Buy sent me an email on how to set up my appointment and it was easy. I dropped off my jeep and 5 hours later it had an alarm with auto start. I am very happy with this Viper Alarm and will recommend it to anyone wanting to protect their car.

Works perfect for my truck. Love the remote start on it as I can keep my car warm as we get to winter. I like that it alerts me if anyone hits my car on the remote.

Just bought this for the range and the 2 way. My apartment doesn't have any line of sight to the place where i park my car, its on the other side of the building. Having the high range and 2 way feedback is key for me to figure it out if the car is running or not. Highly recommend this to those in the same situation. Also, like the ability to charge the main remote using the USB. Wish the other remote was of same type as well.

I love having the ability to start my car from within my home on those cold mornings. Main reason why I purchased this. Didn't like the reviews on the newer models which your supposed to have the capability to control everything from your phone but it seems so many are having issues. Plus there is a subscription involved. I'll take the small remotes over the headaches and subscription cost.

Alarm is great. Good features and just the range alone. Will be purchasing another for my other car.

I purchase this system online and it was shipped to my home. Scheduling an appointment with Best Buy to have it installed. The process was very easy. Showed up the day of my appointment with the alarm system and the tech was a little late but his work was very clean. I could tell he took pride in his work, he wouldn't let me leave until he could come up with a solution to keep my light switch that was already broken in place.

Great product and got it for a great price. I have tried other products but am very satisfied with the Viper line of products. I use this auto start and added the Smart Start system (mobile app) that is very useful for when I travel. As soon as my plane lands, I start my truck to either cool it down (summer) or warm it up in the winter so it is ready to go when I get to it.

Viper is of course the premium product line for directed electronics. Directed electronics has been in the remote start security system game for as long as I've been around. They Make the best systems available. This is the only product I would ever consider installing on my vehicle.

I got the remote starter/ security on a deal of the day that included installation for all together under $500. I was excited. The first day after the install my car battery died. They told me it wasn't related. I took care of that issue then noticed my car driving funny and the tire pressure light never came off like the tech said would after driving it for a while. I would try to start the car from my office and it wouldn't start. It was close by and shouldn't be a problem with the advertised 1 mile range. I took it back to best buy mobile install to look at it. They said the range is fine and they will relocate the antenna just in case so it isn't near any signals in my car. They said to put more air in my tires and also take the car to the manufacturer to see if they offset the tire pressure sensor. Not pleased with the back and forth I have to do. I had someone pull the car door without me disarming it and the alarm didn't go off. I am not pleased currently. My car just got a routine maintenance done so I know it was in good shape prior but It hasn't been the same since the install

Better than I expected! I can start my truck from my house, from my desk at work which makes my co-workers jealous, it lets me know if it's bumped and sets the sensor off. If somebody other than myself unlocks it my key pad alerts me.... I can't love this enough.

I forgot to turn off the alarm on my truck and I did open the door with my key, it was very loud, it turns the engine from far away, at the point to approach me ready to drive it was cold and nice I hope is going to be warm in winter.

First of all the price for the Unit and install was cheaper than the shops were charging. Terrance and Dan at Best Buy in Orland Park were fantastic! There was a little quirk with the system possibly being defective and a slight problem with wires being crossed from the new unit. But when everything was done, it works fine. Havent gotten to a Chicago winter yet but I do believe it will hold up. Get the deal while you can.

Remote start and security system, this one is a classic love the way it works I wud definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great device

I park behind my house, so my truck is backed up to the alley. I've had my truck vandalized, also I've had someone back into me in a parking lot, I bought it to help alert me, it works phenomenal. Easy to use, and I feel more secure knowing that my alarm will go off.

Remote start works great! Cats just the right temp when I get in now.

The viper alarm is awesome. It works from up to a mile away.

Not only will your vehicle be safe, you can remotely start it and even have it heated or cooled by the time you are ready to go! Win win! I've had this for several months and haven't had to recharge the key fob yet.
