I have had lg previously and decided to go with the htc seems to be an upgrade from the lg. Greater internal memory capacity and better processor.

I purchased my new HTC Desire 626s based on my past experience using an HTC EVO 3D. I am so glad to say that HTC has done a fantastic job of keeping up with technology The screen size and picture quality is superb.. My only wish is that the main camera was at least 12MP.

    Some problems with this phone

I've only had this phone for about a month and there are several things that bug me about this product. The Camera has a discolored sepia look to the picture once it is taken. You cannot remove the battery in the phone, not only with it mess up the battery but it will void the warranty. My phone froze today and I had no way to turn my phone off to restart it. All customer service said they could do was Master reset my phone, deleting everything. Luckily, out of desperation and just clicking buttons, I found out that if you press and hold the power button and both volume keys and then pick the option "power down", it shuts off the phone. But when you turn it back on it says something about the phone having to recover after a strange reset.

This has to be my 12th or 13th cell phone with Virginmobile. This HTC desire is better than the last model. 4gb more of internal memory which the last model only had 4gb this model has 8gb. You have your front and back camera. Also this phone has a flash, the previous HTC desire didn't have a flash. Decent size screen and great options with Virginmobile to choose from.

Superior, updated version of the Desire 510. 8gb allows installation of several personally selected apps, though over 4gb is taken up with factory installed apps. Not very fast processor, but adequate for my needs. Camera is decent and has a flash, which 510 did not. Overall a very functional android phone for the price.

I was in the market for a new Virgin Mobile phone after I got into a bike accident which crushed my LG Tribute. I was gonna go with the Tribute 2, but thought this phone looked pretty slick even though it was $40 more. I got it on sale for $100, whereas the Tribute 2 was on sale for $60. I knew the Tribute 2 would be a dependable phone, albeit not very exciting. But, I'm glad I opted for this one over the Tribute 2 for the following reasons: 1) The screen is HD. I mean it's really nice. The tribute and it's sequel the tribute 2 are not HD. It's a marked visual improvement over the tribute which would stream video that seemed pixelated. Plus, the Desire 626s is 5" widescreen. It's like a little flatscreen TV in my pocket. I watched some watch espn basketball at work today on the HTC, and it was sick. I love HD. That in itself makes the phone worth it over the Tribute 2. That in itself is already worth the $40 extra dollars. 2) The visual experience is very, very nice as you move through the interface. Blink Feed is definitely a nice feature. It's like having a customized newspaper in your phone. I like it. 3) Comes with some bundled apps that are pretty cool. Not the typical Virgin Mobile stuff. Has the Zoe app and Polaris Office which is great! Also, there are a ton of themes, wallpapers and you can customize your own ringtone using music stored on your sd card or internal memory! This is a GREAT feature. 4) It is a sleek looking phone, and you can't beat the 720p res for the price. It is light but weighty in all the right places. Has a nice feel in the hand and is the perfect size. Nice crisp resolution. 5) The bluetooth connection is excellent. I hooked it up to the bluetooth in my car, and my music sounded nice and crisp with good bottom end. I really like it. 6) 5.1 lollipop is a nice, clean os. 7) Calls sound fine on both ends. 8) Easy to sync my google contacts. 9) Has a notification indicator light (which my Tribute didn't have so you didn't really know if you had messages etc) So why only 4 stars? 1) Battery life is sub par even on low brightness. The included battery is only 2000mAH which is too little to power an HD display. It should have been at least 2600AH. I guess the only upside to a smaller capacity battery is the charging time is quick. In this case it is very quick to get it to a full charge, but it doesn't take long to drain it either. Some safeguards are that the phone has a power saver setting and an extreme power saver setting. 2) And this almost led me to give this phone 3 stars b/c it's so annoying considering this is an HTC phone which are known to have good external speakers, but this unit doesn't have boom sound so the external speaker is really quite weak. I downloaded a sound boosting app, and it just gets distorted. I mean, really? It's so close to being excellent, but these two features really ruin what could have been a really great phone. It's a good phone. But, not great. Otherwise, pictures are 8mp which is fine. Nice pix. Video is 720p recording which is nice, and 2mp front facing camera is great. It includes a flash and there is a flashlight app already built in which is really cool to not have to download a 3rd party flashlight app. Retail is $130. I paid $100. That is the max this phone is worth. It's not worth $130 simply b/c of the poor battery life, poor external speaker and the 1.1 Ghz Snapdragon 210 when they could've easily put in a faster processor (at least a 1.2 msm8916 for crying out loud), a larger capacity battery and boom sound, then this phone would've been pretty close to perfect. It has 1.5 GB RAM not 1GB so that's 500MB more App Storage on the Internal Memory than other phones in this market. Also, contrary to myth, you can move part of most downloaded apps to the sd card to free up internal memory and disable bloatware apps that are unused which also frees up memory. But, the way it is, it's a good phone for $100. I wouldn't pay $130 for it though. The processor is not as snappy as the tribute, but then again the tribute doesn't have a 5" hd display, and I didn't harp on the processor speed b/c although it's not blazing, it gets the job done so I'm happy overall with this phone. You can't win 'em all when it comes to lower end pre-paids, but this phone has more to love and the downsides are at least tolerable. 4 stars is accurate.

I've been a VM customer for over 10 years so I have had my fair share of bad phones from them. But this is by far the best one yet. I just switched from the old HTC desire to this one. Now, I've only had it for a few weeks but no complaints so far. Call quality is great, I haven't had any issues with internal memory (but I do have a 16gb microSD). Battery life isn't too bad either. I thought for sure it would go down because the battery size is smaller compared to my previous desire, but no; I can go a full day without charging it, using it for several hours but I do keep it eco mode/power saver for the majority of the time and I don't use HTC sense (which will drain your battery). Overall for the money, this is completely worth it. HTC has done a great job with this one!

I wanted a new cell phone and saw this in a store. The original $130 price made me back off. I didn't want to spend that much. I happen to find it at Best Buy and the price was $30 lower. That worked for me. Its definitely a step above the Samsung Galaxy Ring I had. I wanted a 4g phone with a good camera for my Virgin Mobile plan. I've had it about 2 months and so far it works great. The reviews on the volume are right on. It is not very loud, even with adding a volume booster app. So aside from that, I would definitely recommend it for the $100 price. I wouldn't pay more than that though.

This phone is flat out amazing. The difference between my old HTC Evo V and the HTC Desire 626s is astounding! The battery life is excellent - I can go a whole day without charging, and even using GPS doesn't kill the battery quickly. It doesn't get hot while charging or while navigating. It's very lightweight, the display is sharp and the camera is excellent. The speakers are loud enough to hear Pandora playing while driving and in-call sound quality is great. Even with the normal memory taken up by the OS (Lollipop, no less!), there is still lots of room for apps and it's expandable with a micro SD card. All of this for a very tiny price compared to many other higher-end phones. I couldn't be more pleased.

The phone is good and fast. The apps respond quickly. If the phone had more memory 16 instead of 8 it would be excellent. The system files take 4gig of the memory so your left with 4 gig which is lot better the the LG phone that only had 1 gig and you were left with only 500mb.

This is a great phone! I had the HTC Desire 510, but was looking for something with more memory and I found it! The screen is large (slightly bigger than the 510) and has 4 gigs more memory. Definitely a great deal for the price!

I get rapid internet response with this phone and the white background makes reading print much easier than it was with my Samsung Galaxy phone. It is easier to view emails and to search for past emails with the HTC. The price at $100 was a bargain.

I really liked everything about this phone except the fact that HTC apps were using up all of the memory and I was unable to delete the apps that I would never use. I loved the size, it took good pictures, nice to watch netflix on. I would recommend to a friend but would warn them about the memory drain.

Replaced a previous HTC model. This has more internal space (less bloatware) so no out of memory notices for supplied apps. Good size, light weight, good quality, complete functions.
