Buying at Best Buy eliminated waiting for the activation kit to arrive in the mail, which is slow this time of year. I got the same promotional price available on the website and have the freedom to activate with the promo pricing at any time during the period stated in the terms and conditions.

I confirmed with a few reps prior to purchase on a physical sim card because of a promotion. The criteria is pretty simple. Buy it within the promotional period and activate in 30 days even after promo ends. Activated 2 days later. Figured the promotion would be tied to this sim card. Nope, no attachments. So I thought okay, visible could fix it. I was told, well, I can reach out to higher support and see what they say. No guarantees. I would also get agents that treat this as if this is not a valid promotion. It was a headache. It took reddit support and it took me mentioning a FTC complaint regarding false advertising (it mentions the promotion when bought). Suddenly they changed tune and escalated it to get it to a team that can take an hour to respond back to a yes or no and fixes it within that hour. I'm extremely tech savvy and this took several hours to get fixed after I gave up with support treating me like I didn't get a sim card that was attached to a promo. Why tell me I was good to go and when I went to support directly, they treated me like I was in the wrong. I highly recommend using a promo code whenever it's available during there promotional periods. This sim card was a headache to get the promotion attached. I shouldn't have to threaten a government complaint to make it work. Should already be attached or a unique promo code during activation, not just the sim card specifically. Makes absolutely no sense. Don't advertise something that doesn't work. Do not get this card solely based on a promotion. Use a promo code when you can. Simply port out somewhere and come back for that promo. 10X easier.

You did everything by the book—checked the terms, activated on time, and kept your records—only to hit a 'computer says no' wall. That is not the experience we want for you, and I'm sorry it took an escalation to get this acknowledged; you shouldn't have to fight that hard for a valid promotion. Picked this up and activated when I got home. You must follow the steps inside the package, I didn’t have any hiccups porting in my number either. It was convenient being able to pick up the sim from my local Best Buy rather than waiting for visible to ship me a sim

It still doesn't have a phone number. I have followed the instructions but something is wrong, no number. Also it has not connected to wifi because we do not have cell service where we live in Vestal. So we must have wifi connection for cell service.

We understand that having a working phone is essential. Please know that the activation requires a Wi-Fi connection to reach our network. Once you're connected to Wi-Fi, just follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup. You'll have the option to get a new number or transfer your existing one—if it's the latter, just be sure to have your account number and PIN ready so we can switch your service over seamlessly!
