Let me start by saying STAY AWAY FROM THIS TABLET and Visual Land products in general. I contacted customer service after this tablet fell less than 2 feet onto a carpeted floor in the bumper case provided by Visual Land and the LCD broke... here is the conversation. Mike says: HI, I bought a Visual Land - Prestige Elite 7QL - 7" Tablet from Best Buy a few weeks ago. The purchase was for my soon to be 3 year old son. Over the weekend he dropped it onto a carpeted floor while it was in the bumper case that came with the tablet. The outer glass of the screen is ok but the internal part of the screen broke. I am highly disappointed that such a short fall would cause this damage to a tablet geared towards children. How can we get this rectified as I feel it shouldn't have broken from this small incident. Alejandra says: The warranty on our products is a one-year manufacture warranty. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects within the tablets. Unfortunately, damage to the LCD and/or external screen are not covered under the warranty. Due to the compact design of the tablet, removal of the screen for repair would damage the internals beyond repair. We can, however, offer you an exchange for a fee of $50. Mike says: Are you serious? This thing fell onto a carpeted floor in the bumper case, less than 2 feet. You don't call that a defect? Mike says: No response at all? I waited for 10 more minutes and still no response. They don't seem to care about their customers much!
