I purchased this because I was tired of buying new Nutribullet every couple of years and replacement parts in between. I also bought the blending cup starter set and blending bowls. First it isn’t clear on Vitamix website if you need a separate base for the bowls and cups (I.e 3 bases) You don’t - the bowls and cups use the same base. My smoothies have never been so smooth. Not even any fine chunks from seeds. I made broccoli soup with it yesterday and it was awesome! Not what I purchased it for but will definitely try some additional soup recipes from Vitamix website Some challenges- Capacity of the blending cup is smaller than the nutribullet and ingredients need to go in in a specific order so it took a few tries to fine tune my ingredients. You have to align the arrow on the base with the arrow on the cup or it won’t turn on. It took many tries and some swear words at first to get the arrows aligned. 1. The arrow on the cup is practically invisible once it’s full. I solved this by marking the outside with a sharpie. 2. I now start by aligning the triangle symbol on top of the base (see attached photo) with the mark in the cup and that seems to get them close enough to work

I'll say one thing. I've never used a blender so much in my life until I bought this. I've always wanted a Vitamix, but didn't want to spend the money until one day I just went for it. I bought a Ninja Chef after years of using standard blenders. It was nice, but I felt it was too bulky and very loud. Hardly used it. After about a year I bought a KitchenAid K400 series blender which does much that the Vitamix does. It makes soups, but I believe it was not designed for that. Finally I bought this Vitamix Ascent A2300. Once I made my first tomato soup in this thing, I was amazed and how creamy smooth it turned out! The smoothest tomato soup I've ever eaten. Smoothies are silky smooth with no chunks. I've placed whole apples, stem and all. I've placed pineapple with the core. Everything was liquified! If you can get over the price take, you will not be sorry you purchased this thing!

I have used my Vitamix almost every day since I recently purchased it. It is capable of doing everything a regular blender can do plus so much more and so much better! Price is more expensive but so understandable. I’ve made dips, soups, crushed iced for the smoothies which I made directly afterward, green juices with my fresh, washed vegetables(skin and all) etc. and never worried about whatever it was having lumps(unless I wanted it too) or not being processed correctly. Total control, and worry free perfection. Just what I need, especially now! It is the ultimate workhorse and I expect I’ll have it for many years and pass it down!

Ascent containers are sold as dishwasher safe! I bought my blender a month ago, I haven't used it often. However from the first time I washed it, I noticed there was water trapped at the container bottom between the blade and the rubber. I contacted Vitamix because I concerned about the possibility of mold or rust but Vitamix claims this is normal IF the container is placed into a sink of water after blending . In my case it did not happen like that, I just put it into the dishwasher however I decided to follow the instructions they recommended. They recommended me run it for about 1-2 minutes on high speed (it work). And more extra steps just to clean it. Every time I use and wash it, the same thing happens. If you want to remove the water completely you have to disassemble it. Take and consideration removing the retaining nut voids warranty according the manual. So I assume this is a container design defect and it is definitely NOT dishwasher safe. It seems that it is something common according to I read in several reviews. I contacted Best Buy for request a return for a defective item. They didn't want to take responsibility either, the return date ended two days ago so I can't return it. For me it's not worth paying $ 400 for a blender that I have to take apart every time I clean it.

Very powerful blender makes perfect smoothies. My wife and I have been using this for a couple months now. We make fruit smoothies nearly every day...enough for 2 glasses. We wash after every use, which is really easy with the self-cleaning option. So far it's been very good. When we first used it, it gave off a bit of an odor from the motor. But we don't notice it anymore and we haven't had any issues.

This thing is a beast. I was on the fence making the purchase just due to the price.....can it be so much better than the rest? So far this blender has not disappointed on any level. Used it for humus, green smoothies, soups, desserts, dips, puree.......thats just in a month. Il be honest the reputation for Vitamix being the best is justified, at least for us thus far. Its an investment for sure but as my wife went vegan over a year ago, even im asking for green stuff these days. Il never admit she won though! If you are serious about having an all round machine to aid in your health journey and expanding your food horizons.......do it, you wont be sorry.

Powerful, fast, easy to clean however, it is in fact too loud. Read some say they are not made like they used to but this is my first Vitamix and I love it. I’ve owned brands like Oster and Ninja but they don’t compare.

This is a great blender, powerful, great motor, though it is heavy, but this thing should last many years. The only drawback is that is expensive specially when you need to buy the accessories separate (cups, other) and they too are very expensive. If you use this every day and plan to use it for a long time it is probably worth the money, for occasional user, it is probably overkill.

This blender has been incredible. Makes the best smoothies and shakes. Very easy to clean. Very powerful. A little pricey but so worth it. You'll never need another blender. Quality product backed by 10 year warranty. What else could you possibly ask for.

Very happy with the purchase, more disappointed with the Best Buy experience price match. They make you jump through all kinds of loop holes in order not to match things. Next time, I rather just go to the place with the more competitive price. Enough rant about the price; the product is very well made and love making my work out smoothies. The entire unit is just solid after coming from having multiple nutri bullets. Very well worth the investment and love the option for attachments. Makes things a lot easier.

A little noisy at the highest speed, but exudes quality. Only had it for a month but fully expect it to last more than 10 years, even with daily use.

We weren’t planning on paying so much for a blender but we have an older one which needed replacement. Decided to take a chance after reading good reviews. So far this is an excellent blender. Reduces ice and frozen fruit to lump free smoothies. Blends in powder well with little issue. Even made soup that was delicious in the blender. Blades aren’t sharp, but they are powerful and do the job. Highly recommend this mixer, I think it’s strong and well made and will last many years to come.

it is beautiful and works very good, it is light and powerful , the best i like is that it is automatic programs that make easy keep working in something else while you busy...

I truly love this blender. One of the best best and worth the money. It works great to puree sauces and make milk shakes. The book of recipes provided is an extra bonus. Haven't had the time to truly experience the full capability but I know it'll be amazing. It is a bit loud but what does one expect if you want a good blender it does come with a more powerful louder motor. I also like the the motor base is also used for the food processor.

This machine is incredible. The smoothies come out silky smooth like those you purchase from your local smoothie shop. The frozen desserts are great, although proportions of ingredients are key for the right texture. The 64oz included container can be a bit too large for some recipes and so the 48 oz container is a great accessory for the smaller and single serving batches. Overall, a great investment for your health and the 10 year warranty is the icing on top.

Typically, cleaning is the worst part of any blending machine or food processor but with Vitamix it's a very easy process. I trust the power of the machine and its quality. The warranty is great. We haven't used it to its full capacity yet but I'm looking forward to making some great meals.

This expensive piece of machinery gives you the power to make anything and everything you could ask for out of a blender, and then some. It is worth every penny and will save you money and time in the long run, and that’s a guarantee for 10 yrs with its manufactured warranty. Ultimately that is how my wife convinced me to finally spend the extra money for this bad boy, after buying a “better” more expensive blender every year and getting the same results of it breaking. Already it’s a win in that aspect. When it comes to how it performs, it blows all other big name brand household blenders out of the water. Replicate your favorite establishments smoothies, protein shakes, ice cream, frozen drinks and cocktails. The self cleaning mode is legit and works just as described. My biggest pet peeve was always cleaning the blender after each use. Not always an easy task, but with this 60 seconds and it’s squeaky clean. Rinse, dry, and enjoy your creation.

It’s pricey but the best blender I’ve ever used. It makes the Ninja I had which I thought was a great blender until I used the Vitamix. The Ninja relied on extremely sharp blades where the Vitamix uses pure power with blunter blades. I was always weary of cutting myself with the Ninja. Also you can’t beat the 10 year warranty.

This is my second purchase of a vitamin blender, and it’s worth every penny. I don’t like the price, but I love the results. This is one of the only blenders that I know that can truly blend kale and roughage those type of vegetables to where you can drink it like a smoothie or regular drink. It’s amazing. I’ve tried other blenders such as the ninja and it just did it cannot do it, I would absolutely recommend this purchase. I always get a warranty and Best Buy always honors that so definitely recommend.

Very powerful blender with the ability to clean itself with some hot water and soap. We have had a nutri bullet and a Ninja blender that would constantly clog or stall because they weren't powerful enough to push through the tougher blends. We haven't had this issue since buying this product.
